You guys wanna enlighten me as to where all these outdoorsy girls are? I mean when I go hiking, I do not see many past college aged... I'd totally be into that too... I love camping and figured most women just hate it. My ex did like it but only for a night and it had to be certain temperatures out. Which is still better than the large 'no way I'm sleeping on the ground' population.

I think many women think camping sounds romantic, and it can be, until they're dirty, using less than enjoyable bathrooms if any at all, and smelling of smoke. Then it's not so fun... I'd love a woman who actually likes it on her own not just to go along for the ride because it sounded romantic... though that's still better then the other.

They're probably outdoors lol, scattered across the wilderness  . Outdoorsy women do exist, my mum for example loves nothing more than campfires, hiking and pitching shelters - but then she's married to my dad, a clean-freak indoorsy engineering type. Maybe you'll find somebody to love who seems like your total opposite :)

Yeah I guess that's possible too. 'Total opposite' would probably not work, but very opposite may.

I know some outdoorsy women do exist, these guys seem like they cant avoid them. I'm new to this dating thing havign been divorced, but I cant tell you already how sick I am of seeing 'likes to read, watch movies and cuddle on the couch in my pjs with my cat". It's like, really? Who doesn't like to chill out SOMETIMES. But ALL the time? That's ALL you got?

Not knocking anyone, everyone is different. It's just these guys need to move to NJ and I'll go wherever they are. Maybe a age difference too. I am looking at women in their 30's so...

I do, though I'm probably more one for observing it than interacting with it. I go hiking a lot or into the woods, but never without a sketchbook/camera.

There probably are some genuinely like that, but I bet for the most part they're trying to seem as inoffensive/generic as possible in their interests in the hope that will get them the most success. Plus people do seem to revert to cliches in profiles; I imagine crafting a dating profile is quite a tricky thing - personal but not too personal, honest but not too honest etc.

I'm like your mom

If I may reverse the question here that might help in the quest for love:

What do YOU have to offer a potential love partner?

I hate this type of questions: "What do YOU have to offer a potential love partner?", "What does he/she have to offer me".
I hate the wording of offer in it.

If I love someone is simply because I like and love this someone.

Awesome!

And how refreshing to hear the different accent on 'offer'. Like literally some kind of imposed martyrdom?

Yeah that would kill it for me too.

What I meant is that I have seldom found a place on the net full of so many wonderful, funny, authentic, smart people that have so much to give and would make some/manyone very happy. Is just that I am wondering if they see what I see.

Because the focus seems on what others should do, be or like in order to fit a perfect picture?

Maybe I am just weird: I love imperfections

Yeah, it's a bit too much like comodifying love, however, the reality is if we don't have any appealing quality or traits, no one is going to want us let alone love us.

Rather than saying "what do you have to offer?" it should be, "what things about you are appealing and lovable" and there will be things to list in everyone.

The next question is, if you feel you lack something appealing, can you improve upon and change that. Same goes for things we may think are unappealing. can we improve and change those?

you seem perfect to me :star: thank god for the people who see the imperfections as akin to the flaws in a diamond :)

Thats funny because in talking to people and reading different things lately as to wheres a good state to move to, Washington and Oregon keep coming up. They were on my list for legal weed and climate anyways... intersting...

Washington has the advantage of having no state income tax [yet].

And magnificent scenery, too.

I don't understand the appeal of Meth is a land of such scenery.
