Not just handsome. It takes some serious courage, strength and survival skills to be a competent criminal.

Not sure if this is meant, 'tongue in cheek' or not so... I think courage is the wrong word. I would judge that he lacks forethought as to the risks his behavour carries, including those of a physical nature. I also think to class as competent he would need to have got away with his crimes.

And he probably isn't traumatized or easily deterred rejection. He certainly isn't easily deterred from crime by incarceration.


It seems you are trying to justify that they didn't like him for looks only.

Those women liked him because he's very hot looking and there's no more to it , not because of a personality trait , they just saw his pic on the internet - stop trying to give deeper meanings to things which aren't there.

So no, they didn't like him because he isn't easily deterred or such b.s.

...and I am not easily deterred by silly posts like this one or by rejection or by whatever you are trying to imply.

Because he’s hot, and that’s it.

He looks confident to you because he looks hot.

I don't find him attractive because he looks like a thug and a jerk. I think I could find him attractive if I came across him with a different persona, but looking at the picture made me feel like I was standing within reach of a rottweiler. Some women find that feeling exciting, I don't, just unpleasant.

Women will pick up with any guy if he can charm them enough. Why do you think ex cons and gangster dudes can get girls and yet decent, nerdy dudes struggle so hard??? Its all about the charm, believe me. I got 2 neices both with dudes who are not only ex convicts who've been in prison but semi active gang members too. My sister, even as a christian woman of god has always been attracted to that gangster aesthetic on a black man and that's the reason why she is still single to this day.

I could go on for days about what I've seen not only in my family but even out and about women and girls either in school or in the work place that seem to get suckered by this type of guy. Though while I'm on the subject, on the flipside I've had plenty of family members tell me "why I don't have a boyfriend" or "why I can't keep a boyfriend", except now I have a boyfriend in a long distance relationship who I just cracked a year with last week so now everyone can shut their mouths (;

I was being serious, but talking in general, since I know nothing about that specific guy.

He was competent enough for his criminal career to last however long it did. I know I’d be hard-pressed to survive my first attempt to do anything naughty, and would probably starve to death or be killed by someone for being at the wrong place at the wrong time if I found myself on the street with no other livelihood.

This is very true. I "reject" "hot" people regularly, in the sense that their looks do nothing for me so I don't give them a second glance.

I remember an ex wouldn't let me have a certain actor as my 'free pass' because he said he was totally obtainable if I did actually meet him. I think he's extremely attractive - I'd choose him over Ryan Gosling for sure - yet most would probably say he's average or a bit unattractive.
