I guess I understand your perspective.

I have a daughter with significant mental health issues (depression, eating disorders, PTSD, borderline personality disorder), and as a result she still lives with her mother at age 32. Her mother and I have spent much time energy planning for the probability that we will predecease her and that she may a rough time afterwards. This includes financially and also involving her married younger sister.

I probably don't have to tell you to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. I am sure you are.

But I still wouldn't tell your kids it would better for them if they went before you, if for no other reason than in the likely event one or both survive you, their worst fears will be realized. The fact you haven't even though you you feel so strongly suggests you know it too.

I've never said that to them.

Yes, I prepare for the worst by having an excess of life insurance which would be close to a million bucks between them, plus the mortgage would be paid off so they'd have free digs. Assuming my mother passes before me, I'd also bequeath all her assets to them. They're significant because they came from HER parents. That's the best I can do.

I want to stay at home with my boyfriend, eat some pizza or chinese food, and watch some X Files.

Brings back memories...
That's a great show, and a few of the episodes rank RIGHT up there in the annals of all-time best television...

I saw the pilot episode of the reboot of "The X-Files" in a casino hotel in Reno, while tripping on a substance that MAY have been an alternate arrangement of the first letters of each of the words in the phrase "Latter Day Saints".
There was also some "intimate couple activity" that involved her looking quite terrified after agreeing to my request for me to initiate said activity while those three letters still circulated through my bloodstream...

We have pizza and play Strip Scrabble.
I'm very low maintenance.

Everyone loves take-out. Especially princesses trapped behind a dinosaurs presence.

As a princess, I would just borrow the sword while he goes to get take-out. :ninja:

I have finally beat SMB3 on emulator btw, and I thought it is the hardest game ever created….until I have tried the SNES’s Super Mario World: What the f**k is that? These Japanese devs were on meth when they did this game, especially the ghost house levels - « What’s the best way to make kids cry? Oh, let’s make dozens of ghosts appear randomly on the screen ! »

As a warrior, I would befriend the dragon and make him my pet instead of saving her.

Dragon > entitled princess with an attitude.

^^ Congrats! (Now I can no longer brag about my superior Mario skills. ) I don’t think I ever beat SMW. We never owned the SNES, so I only got to play it when I went to friends’ houses.

Some people are SO entitled. They want to be rescued from fire-breathing dragons.

Actually it is easier on the emulator because I can spam save/load  - you can save anywhere.

I took the fastest world wrap route to make it.

Yeah, that’s what I often do. It depends on if I’m in the mood to play certain worlds. I usually avoid World 7, though.

Dragons are quite awesome, granted though I'd be biased.

I've been playing Spyro recently. 8)
