36 year old man fron Bergen, Norway here. Interests are travelling, histort, culture, politics etc. Britain is nice. I have been only to England, though, not the other parts of the country.I spend 17 days in York on a study trip some years ago. Nice town with lots of fascisnating history. And more pubs pr. citizen than most other places! Well, thats it for the intro.

Unfortunately, that kind of request is good at scaring men off. We think the next question will be, What are you wearing?, and then go on to stalking and harassment.

I think that this just proves that it is SO much easier for a girl to get a boyfriend than the other way round. No wonder the guys must be more direct. We cant just sit and wait for a woman to pick us up. (unless we look like Brad Pitt)

hahahaha nice Brad Pitt comment. Yeah it's true. And I think girls are more picky about being in relationships than guys are. I know right now I'm fairly standoffish for that kind of thing (unless I'm ultra-attracted to the guy, I probably won't be dating at this time), I think because I'm enjoying the independence of going solo. But that could also partly be an aspie thing (being in control of your own environment and space and not having to compromise with anyone).

I don't plan to be single forever though! One day I hope to be married and have kids.. One day... And I think this is the wrong forum to chat about this... off topic again...

I guess from a biological point of view it is more necessary for a man to have a strong sex drive. In principle there are no limits to how many children a man can get. Women can get fewer kids, as they have to go through a pregnancy. If you look on it from a darwinistic -one wants to maximize the healthof ones offspring. This drive is stronger for women, since there is a limit to the number of kids. For men this is less important, as they can just produce more sperm.

See my point? After all, humans are just advanced aninals... :D

ya know, the more i think about it...it's just an aspie thing, NT guys and girls all know what's expected of them within the dating game...we tend to not fit this profile so can have trouble in finding a partner...of course, being a complete extrovert may help you attract attention...lol x

Yeah it definitely does. I'm sort of an oddity aspie because i tend to be either extremely extroverted or extremely introverted depending on my mood. I guess you could say I am sort of an extremist.

*cough*worstjokeever*cough*

But yeah, when I'm extroverted I attract heaps of male attention. :sunny:

You'd be surprised to find that although I'm relatively attractive and have what I consider to be a nice personality, I have absolute zero interest and haven't had a bf in over 2yrs :(
So I'm relatively confident in saying, its not necessarily easier for girls, though I wish it was! lol.

PICKY?

i'm the last person you could call picky! I'm not looking for Brad Pitt or anything, just someone who is kind and respectful, which I think is fair enough!

Yep, I think this thread proves that it is a LOT more easy for a woman to get a boyfriend than it is for a man to get a girlfriend.
