A parent's love for their child is unconditional
My dad's wasn't. A decent parent's one is yeah, but once someone's out of childhood their parents don't have to like them and vice versa. Like isn't love.
Parental love is built in but like is about if you enjoy someone's company.
I’ve noticed that some parents have trouble bonding with their kids unless they have stuff in common.
I had such an overwhelming feeling of love when my son was born that it’s hard for me to understand parents who don’t bond with their kids, but I’ve seen it happen.
