Hm. 'Haven't read that one. I will have to look it up. Are you wishing for deeper intellectual pursuits than surf and sand? We could discuss social science, or just science. I want you to feel better, but would also like to not have the blues myself. I get plenty of that! :(
What about a Mel Brooks film? Space Balls? Young Frankenstein?

Kraftie?

Right now, I'm into the Delights which Nature has bestowed upon us.

I'm into the sea breeze, the cool sand, and beach music.

If one wants edginess, one can listen to "What kind of fool do you think I am?" by the Tams.

That's considered North Carolina Shag Music. It's almost like a Tango....the Battle Royale between Man and Woman which leads to Ultimate Consummation.

I confess to being into a simpler Aesthetic.

Because it is beautiful out here by the Sea!

I am not sure there can be too much seduction....unless a few more females come into the bar? Or something...
Welcome Alexander. :D

Flash Gordon is cool.

There's substance, there's that old Sci-fi aesthetic, which was unfailingly optimistic, and didn't need to offer plausibility. It was just cool stuff.

Sort of like Lost in Space in color.

We have a Cast of Characters tonight....and we know each other's names!

Anybody into playing Piano? We can play some old-time jazz piano tonight. The piano has that purple glow, too.

We can play Boogie-Woogie piano....like Eubie Blake and Fats Domino. How about that?

Nope....can't say that I've heard of that movie----maybe we can show it?

Or how about a silent movie, and somebody get up and play the piano to it?

That's the nature of Bars, really....a motley Cast of Characters.

Ms. Chic: what would you like to dine on tonight? Would you be into fried Calamari dipped in tomato sauce?

I am musically de-clined, Krafite, but if you can play the piano, I am all for it. Flash Gordon is fine with me. :D Image

I love this bar. Any characters are okay with me (I think). Lets have some salmon and veggies. Nothing too heavy. I want to really enjoy myself and all the company! Want to get that booth over there, or do we dare eat out here on the sand (blanket, but still..)

Lets eat outside! I'll bring out our dinner, if you don't mind :D

Flash Gordon is cool....it's interesting how people in the 1930s conceived the Future.

When I was a kid in the 1960s, I thought we'd have flying cars by now--like the Jetsons!

I wish we could bring Fats Waller down from Heaven to play the purple-hued piano for us!

Salmon is an Excellent Choice!

It's very smoothly digested. Never any heaviness to it.

And you can still dance afterwards!

We can dance.....to Glenn Miller!

I have in my collection of musics, a definitively remastered edition of "in the mood" with pitch correction and noise reduction and restored trebles. :dj: it is definitely danceable. for those who can dance, that-is.

We shall all benefit from your Genius.

Even if we don't Dance....we can Listen!

"Take the A-train" can be listened to, and can be danced to.

Of course I don't mind. Thank you very much.
I know what you mean about the future...so many things I though we would have by now, and things I didn't dream of that we DO have, plus, problems I thought we would have solved and haven't. Fascinating. I think the only person who knows the future is William Gibson! :D

I remember when the first home computers were coming out thinking....why would anyone need a computer at home! Ha Ha. Remember car phones? A riot.

Oh, dinner looks really good, thanks so much, Kraftie!

You know, 'babbly, back in the day there were dance cards, and each person could sign up for dances with people they wanted to dance with that evening...so civilized! If I can dance, so can you.
