You couldn't have said it better. And there seem to be very few women who find pleasure in providing the "service" of helping a guy achieve that balance.

Maybe that's what's getting lost in translation - it's not a service to be provided unless you go to a "professional provider"

I am kind of offended by that suggestion about a doctor taking away the urges, and that solving the problem. There are many ways to be sexual other than having full sexual intercourse, some which I suspect might actually be more fulfilling to me. So to have the idea that sexuality has to be about one thing seems really narrow-minded.

Ha ha - I never pretended to do anything but offer my personal perception. If I would feel such urges all the time, without the possibility of relieving them I would probably go bonkers. I like to be able to fully concentrate on things and sexual frustration can be extremely distracting.

Would you rather have zero sex in life. Or be raped once and have a normal sex life?

I think that question needs to be more elaborated, is it aimed at men or women or both? would a man liked to be raped by another man rather than having zero sex, or is it exclusively heterosexual rape, etc?

It doesn't seem a bad idea to make a poll :P (in the adult section of course)

To answer the question, which I would pressume, in a man's case would be, being raped by a woman than having zero sex, right?, mmmmm, I suppose some may have that fantasy, but if that is done, that wouldn't be exactly rape, would it? on one hand, that leads to another question, would a guy brag about not being a virgin, even if it was through rape? that is an interesting question.

In any case, I would prefer zero sex myself. Heck! if given two choices, zero sex or AIDS, I would chose zero sex by a million times.

That gives me an idea to make a poll.

What I mean is, there are too few women for whom the sexual experimentation/learning process is interesting enough for them that it does not seem like a chore or imposition on them. That's why I put "service" in quotes--I was referring to women who would not see it in such terms.

I know what you mean about concentrating. I am kind of floundering in a graduate program, and wonder whether I will make it through, due to frustrations about a number of things, one of them being an inability to get anywhere with women!
