And when I was at McDonalds with my grandpa the other day (same grandpa i mentioned earlier) and there was this obese and unnatractive woman next to us, he got upset at her. He said that it pissed him off that he couldnt see her belt as her stomach flab covered it, that she looked like **** and that it upset him that more and more people are looking like her. He told her to stop eating at places like McDonalds and get off her a** and take a run and then maybe she could look better. She got really mad at him but he didn't care.

Your grandpa strikes me as a very rude man indeed! 8O

really? perhaps you don't really understand us at all. we're experienced our own personal hells.

Quote:
but if obese people insult thin people, doesnt that kinda give me the right to do the same back to them

i've only ever been bullied by skinny people, so should i dislike skinny people? the idea is absurd, and nobody on this board is insulting you are they? don't bring your baggage from the outside to pick on us on the inside. seriously.

Quote:
i didn't create the beauty standards, you can't blame me for simply restating them

your opinion is by no means a standard, sorry.

Quote:
Then I had fat girls trying to ask me out in high school, it insulted my self esteem that a girl who looked bad would equate me to her level if she hadda be 200 something!! !

i'd say that she is probably sorry to have stooped to your level in the first place. most people would take a kind fat person over a mean skinny person any day.

My grandpa, when asked by my mom why he says those things, says that he has earned the right because he is thin (6'3" and 178 pounds, been that since he was just out of college), he has the right to insult those who don't look good in his eyes.

so, you have become just like your grandfather, with your own narrow standards of beauty - he is being mean to your mother, and you are both being mean to other women. i don't see how you are any different from him, and that is not a good thing to strive for.

here is a better goal for you - cultivate thinking for yourself and learn to have some compassion.

you already made her cry, are you just looking for blood at this point? Erisad is beautiful on the inside AND outside, and how do you think you are coming across?

I don't insult overweight women in person at all. Its like i was in history class today with my friend and this fat woman was sitting in front of my friend and i and my friend said so she could hear "this girl in front of us is hella fat and ugly" and i just nodded my head in agreement even though what he said was viciously cruel because i didn't want to add to it and argue with him in class.

Funny thing is, my friend is obese himself

And yes i am correct on the beauty standards, because if you all were correct then the fat girls would be getting all the dates, which is not the case. Do you ever see overweight women in movies, magazines, video games, cartoons? NO, you DON'T because the media does not want that!

Im not being mean, im just stating what most of the neurotypical world here thinks.

And being thin isnt easy either no matter how great i feel and how much i love it

Due to all the overweight people, its harder for me to get suits and pants and shirts so i have to go to Abercrombie or Zumies and have my mom pay a fortune for my clothes

Thats why i find it funny when overweight women complain about not being able to find clothes as the clothing industry is oriented towards heavy people!! !!

trojan51, you have a lot to learn about life. Your ignorant, narrow minded, and could care less about the feelings of others. You have no respect for others.

so what if you didn't say it - he publicly bullied her and you stood by him, and stood by your gradfather too. you are just as complicit as every person who didn't defend you when you were bullied.

and you are insulting fat women on here. we are real people.

i have never been short of dates. lots of men prefer big women, and there is nothing universal about what you are saying. have you even noticed how many people disagree with you on this thread itself? and yes, i see women like that in all of the media, though we are still underrepresented. perhaps you are watching media designed for your tastes only?

we are not the NT world, and you need to stop trying to make women on here feel bad about themselves. you have admitted you have a chip on your shoulder, which is going to cause more discomfort for yourself than anyone else could ever cause for you. everyone is entiteled to their own preferences, but when you start making women cry with your nonsense you are going too far. don't be a bully like your friends or grandfather.

no, you are showing that you do not respect others, in terms of both words and actions.

i respect myself plenty, fat ass and all!

you don't look fat to me hyperlexian, at least in that picture

what am i supposed to say to my friend? "yeah shes fat, she knows it, she already feels like s**t about herself so dont be a d*ick"?

I find it contradictory when you say many men like fat women yet fat women have such low self esteem about themselves, wouldnt the low self esteem have come from not being liked in the first place?

It's useless to reason with you trojan51, I suspect your brain is no larger than a rabbit turd, and similar in composition. Continue to live in your own little world, we will all benefit without your worthless drivel. Mods, plz do something about this nincompoop.

YES, but you could phrase it a little nicer.

because people like yourself make them feel bad. easy answer.

There is a lot of money to be made by messing with people's minds, making them feel their appearance is inadequate.
Weight loss is big business--not just dieting, but doctors are now doing surgery to get their piece of the pie!

Since it is no longer acceptable to pick on blacks and homosexuals, the new target is fat people.

There is plenty of clothes for big men and small women. Good luck finding a specialty store for short men or tall women.
You can go to a women's clothing store filled with clothes too small for the average woman. Good luck finding pants for a 26
inch waist in a men's store.

Like it or not, there are standards of beauty, intended to mess with the minds of the populace for financial and political gain.
I think it is easier to deal with this mess if you acknowledge that--instead of pretending they don't exist.

The last semester of college is the toughest for girls
1) senior guys are too busy trying to get a job--especially in a ball busting economy
2) junior guys are trying to pass the toughest classes they have ever taken
3) underclassmen guys asking a senior girl out--does this ever happen???

The primary health issue is the lack of self esteem. Stuff like heart disease and high blood pressure are to a large degree, genetically based--so lots of thin people have issues too! Joint replacement--lots of average and thin people have their joints replaced because they want to be as active as they were when younger--and insurance will cover it! See the money connection again.
