I enjoy kamelot, dream theater, dir en grey, D'espairsRay, Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Symphony x, and I've had a few other obsessions that aren't anywhere near metal. I have never seen a girl like you described though...

I don't see calling a certain group of people or any person for that matter a whore simply because of their lifestyle choice or sexual openness, I don't see calling someone a whore as non judgmental in any case and it's a very derogatory term. The way it came across to me, you implied that the way to get a girl in bed is through the use of illegal drugs and drinking, to me that would be called taking advantage of someone.



I don't think it is thought provoking at all, I find it to be cheap and exploitation on many levels and desensitizing, they are simply selling sex and it also teaches people that being portrayed as an object rather than a person is acceptable.



Of course, it's always good to be open to a diverse range of music and take the lyrics for what they are, some will be outright inappropriate for entertainment purposes but at what cost? I do agree that you can learn from different sub genres and styles but someone rapping about a Lamborghini or singing about strippers is completely tasteless and no different than the manufactured mainstream bands on MTV in my opinion, it's not the way forward.



That's completely incomparable, the difference is that they aren't using sex to sell an image or to sell records, they are simply expressing their thoughts on a certain situation involving lust and desire in a subtle manner.

Is it any wonder why females (yes females, not 'chicks') who are into metal are so angry and bitter when they have to put up with such crap, like some of the stuff posted here.

I have never noticed this, a lot of metal heads I know seem pretty open minded and would never pick on geeks (some of the ones I know are pretty geeky themselves) Have you ever thought why they might be in a bad mode?




Here's a hint don't call them strange creatures. If you only want sex get a prostitute, if you want a serious relationship just be yourself, it's very easy to tell when you are faking it when it comes to alternative sub cultures and it often comes across as unattractive.

Nah dance clubs and raves are filled with bimbos and drug addicts. (generalizations are fun, no?) From my experience those types are not really nice they just pretend to be. I've never liked the term 'hot' and don't see what is so important about it. Intelligence and a nice personality are better than being hot imo. All I see is people shaking their bums to crappy music in that video, not very fun.

Just because you do not agree with it does not mean it isn't true. Having witness the debauchery first hand and in some of my younger days in the scene experienced it ... i would say you just might need to consider it's not a judgement at all but a label. A slang term like Dike, Bear, Butch, Kvlt, etc etc etc.

@ Sextaesada : Kamelot is a GREAT f*****g BAND! Are you familiar with Dark Moor? They shred some of the best classical metal covers! PS: I should hope not. These girls I described live in a Universe of perpetual loneliness only filled with selfish validations and over inflated competitions between themselves amongst the mass approval of sleazy drunken men who manage to slur out between gulps of whiskey "show us your tits" ...

No but seriously, there are actually a hand full of decent girls I met in the same scene who did not throw themselves around and were incredibly sexy and also a few who are now involved and in one case engaged to close friends of mine from local AZ metal bands.

The truth is @ Original Poster there are a lot of girls and no two are alike, similar but not identical. you just have to continue to test the water and grow stronger in back bone as they attempt to break you down. It's a matter of biology. When it comes to any person asking for dating advice I give the same reply "Would you date you?" ... and don't answer well idk. because you do. and usually you are lying to yourself because at the current time you know the answer is NO. Not because of any reason other than you have much to learn and more to experience. just keep at it. don't drastically change who you are simply mold and adjust and try new things. I had spiked mo hawk at one time now i don't. too much maintenance and bad for the golf course. I used to tell my girl friends everything about myself in bed during pillow time now i don't (mysteries are important also you never know what little quirk or past fact might be the trigger and end it all) ... just keep at it. and remember if she is a b***h towards you or dismissive, keep at it and simply stay strong. don't be needy people like to advise ... that it true but also, don't be unresponsive either. unless you like the Machiavelli: The end justifies the means type girls. which case i'd say good luck they're a hand full and certainly keep ya on your toes. idk man. i'm done with this topic my opinions seem to warrant more flames than advice. so i wish you the best old school dude.

Well a label is used to prejudge or presume someone has certain characteristics or traits so in a way, yes, it's a judgement and offensive. If I call someone a label, it's judging them on their ideals, sexual preference, dress sense, perspectives and the way they are, in other words, you're putting people in a box. It doesn't make it any less offensive if the term is dyke, slut, butch, I have several bisexual female friends who would be extremely offended by such terms. It's the same as using the term ret*d when describing a disabled person, I find it very derogatory.



I'm not biased to defending a certain group of people, I'm not naive and presumptuous enough to think every woman or person is going to love me or agree with me over an internet forum and I don't claim to be wise or all knowing. I'm simply here to express my views and perspectives from the short 21 years I've lived and learn from others through friendly discussion and debate. I felt the way you implied what you said came across as biased and I found some of your comments to be extremely presumptuous and narrow minded and I'd certainly like to know who these other internet rock stars are who offered young girls cocaine and deceived them in an attempt to sexually exploit them and take advantage and if you think that's acceptable behavior in any way, you need to have a good long think.

I don't want to waste my time with communicating with ignorant, petty and offensive people, but I do agree with Wolfheart and Hyperlexian. Also, I am in the scene and have never come across a girl by Zane's description. Nothing more I want to add.

I'm yet to meet an unpleasant person that happens to listen to metal, male or female. The only "metal chicks" that the OP describes that I have seen appear in 1980's American family films as school kids. :)

Is there a 'metal' chick in particular that you are looking to date?

From my experience, metal chicks don't make good girlfriends. They're the type of chicks who freeload at your apartment and leave all their clothes over the floor (including blood-stained panties). If you're looking to have sex with one, I hope you like being handcuffed to the bed while playing with strange objects. Most metal chicks I've known can't say a sentence without using the f-word and they like to talk about disturbing subjects like how dead babies turn them on.
