I remember when Meghan Kelly had a highlight in Maxim and she kind of abstractly mentioned that she felt that sort of pressure - mostly from other women either - that it was inappropriate or wrong to be sexy and like you're suppose to surpress it for the self esteem of others. I think our culture and just how hard people are on each other tends to help create problems like this and yes, its a real shame.
