Overweight women are less fertile than women within their ideal body fat range.
Didn't LKL already school you in this?
Being overweight and even obese is far less threatening to fertility than being the size most idealized in the media,
including men's media.
The supposed threats to female fertility only occur in cases of obesity, and often not even then.
Compared to an average Hollywood body type who medically is predicted to not even ovulate,
those choices are far preferable.
Yet which is idolized?

Because not many people fit your picky preferences?

Since when did basic things such as Gender, Skin Colour, weight, age range, and religious preference become "Picky". Altering my view on any of these things would require me to effectively change who I am. I would have to adopt a different culture, or adopt a religion which I don't believe in, or in the case of obese people, overcome my gag reflex. These things aren't being "Picky".
Picky would be me saying I'd only date a girl who ate cauliflower on thursdays and who only liked going to the movies on sunday afternoons.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm a victim of circumstance. I didn't choose to be born where I am at, I didn't choose for my parents to pick to move here, I didn't do any of this, and I'm sure as hell "Not going to make the best of it".

Do you have a right to be angry at a situation youve put yourself into due to your own restrictions? yes you do.
Is that going to make things improve at any time? No. As a matter of fact its likely to make things worse since the bitterness thing isnt really what girls are looking for lately.
Im going to tell you a personal story that isnt about dating but about limiting myself too much when interacting with others and how things ended up, feel free to ignore it if you dont think its relevant.
Up until recently I was bitter at quite a few people.
I had a select group of people I liked to hang out with for various reasons and this people eventually got tired of me and I had to find a new select group of people that met my criteria of awesomeness since I wouldnt settle for less than that. Why should I have settled right?
This September I had to stay in bed for a few weeks and I had plenty of time to think.
At one point I realized that I was doing pretty much the same thing Id be doing if I was healthy(wasting time online) since most of my select group of friends had disappeared and I hadnt felt in the mood for approaching new people so I spent most of my time online.
I begun to wonder about where things would be in x years and if I wanted to keep relying on online communication as some sort of substitute of what I was missing due to my own restrictions and my refusal to give people that didnt meet my great criteria a chance.
I realized I needed to change things and I made a compromise with myself to give everyone a chance, no matter how many of my restrictions they dont meet.
Want to hear something funny?, some of the most awesome people Ive been meeting are the kind of people I wouldnt have ever consider giving a chance to due to some of my silly restrictions.
Ive spent several hours a week for over a month talking to this amazing girl and her friends for example. They are nice and understanding of each other, trying to help whenever they can, you name it(one of them offered me $30 for a cab home just because he had had a fun conversation with me for a few hours for example).
This people look great right?,theres no way they wouldnt have met my criteria. Wrong. Im not a religious person and I had some personal bias against religion based on what I see at TV... this girl invited me to a bible reading hours after meeting her and thats where I was introduced to this people.
There are plenty of similar examples: people that were "too old" to have a friendship with me due to generational differences that have turned out to be quite great listeners(we do some sort of switch where they talk and I try to help them and vice versa)...
Have you given a chance to someone that didnt meet this criteria in a while?.
Im not saying that you shouldnt have standards since thats up to you but a wise friend once mentioned that its too easy to build some sort of restrictions(I want this and I want that) when in reality things dont work that way. You can meet someone that looks nothing like your ideal partner and hit it off for whatever reasons.

I have no data on Hollywood actresses, but an average Victoria's Secret or Playboy model has roughly 20% body fat, which is 3% below the ideal fat level and not low enough to stall fertility. A woman is obese once she's over 32% bodyfat.

Victoria's Secret and Playboy are looking for a higher level of body fat than most media. they are not the only standards of sexiness.

Media aimed at men are looking for 18 to 25% of body fat. What magazines aimed at teenage girls are looking for, is a different story. This thread was originally about the fact that men's preferences in women are because of natural selecition (which is true).
natural selection is currently showing us that fat women must be highly attractive because they are reproducing in spades. the proof is in the pudding.
18% body fat impedes reproduction, by the way.

I'd say that if a man could choose between two identical women who were madly in love with him (except for the fact that one had a bodyfat percentage of 21 whereas the other one had a bodyfat percentage of 40), he'd choose the physically fit one. Fat women are reproducing more because slim women are getting more rare and men have less bargaining power now than 50 years ago. Women and men aren't getting fatter because of their genetic make-up, but because they eat unhealthy and aren't getting enough activity.
now you're speculating based on your own preferences. fact is, natural selection has spoken - fat chicks are reproducing. it doesn't matter if it is based on genetic makeup or not.

I speak to a variety of people on a day to day basis. But I've got nothing in common with most people of my own culture, let alone of a different culture. I do want to stress, I'm not saying mine is superior or anything like that, I simply feel most comfortable in it. If I walked out of my house right now, and spoke to the first 10 people I met, we would have nothing in common beyond the fact we are all mammals.
I'm glad that in your case, it worked out.
Natural selection has indeed spoken:

ummm you forgot something - that article only discussed the hip/waist ratio, and obese and overweight women can have that same ratio.... just bigger. so it still applies to fat people.
fact is, fat women are reproducing.

also, that article isn't proof of who is getting selected. proof of that can be found by looking at which people are reproducing.

More proof can be found in the fact that attractive girls are almost always taken.
fat women are attractive too, so i am not sure what you are saying with that.
