Men-psychoanalysis, I love that.

Tell us more, smudge.

I'm just judging from how men have behaved around me.

You...don't believe me that I love that, don't you?

I have no idea if you're joking or not.

Me too.

You have confused me. I thought I usually psychoanalyzed people. People don't normally tell me they love it. I've only been thanked or recognised for it a handful of times on here. I would go deeper when I do it, but 95% of the time people don't get what I'm talking about or misinterpret what I'm saying anyway. :?

..Which well, you do too.

Getting back to the OP, I found this first reply really spot on.

One answer possibly that maybe its an executable function thing? :)

And I'd like to ask: hurtloam do you also have trouble with that?

Might explain why making a successful action plan and executing it might a very hard task for you as well?

Hurtloam I wonder if they are intimidated by you? Like they get to know you and are like 'this girl is so awesome and honest, she is probably out of my league'.

Although sometimes I wonder if us aspies are like candles burning strong and then fizzling out and losing interest. I am ashamed to admit I lost interest in some people who approached me online (looking back I wish I had handled it better)

This is very valid. Ive been told I sell myself short in terms 'leagues'

Hurtloam, in reading through all this, and this is one of those 'gee thanks never thought.of that' moments... but it seems to be in large part self esteem. I get that totally. This is what causes approach anxiety... I mean I cant message a woman on a dating site without getting anxiety...

You gotta find a way to fake your way thru it.

If you're dressing cuter and getting looked at alot more, that will get you more attention, but maybe scare off the type you may want if you looked too good.

This just goes to show however that its not just us guys... if we could only just have some sign on us that lights up when were near someone whod be attracted to us... oh you went off for me... hi! Isnt that so much easier?

I'm japan they have this "meet another person" kinda smart phone app where if you are within approach distance of somebody else with this app it will alert you both at the same time with an audible alert that you both can simultaneously hear. ahead of time the app is programmed with your preferences and alerts when somebody else with that app enabled who has selected the same preferences comes walking along. mebbe something like this would be the answer should it be available in the west.

For some reason, I don't like this idea of there being apps like this.

Seems like sort of a privacy issue to me

But, who knows? If it works for somebody.....

nobody is forcing you to use the app, but can you entertain the possibility that it may be just what doc feelgood ordered for socially clueless aspies like me?

You're definitely not clueless here on WP.

You have charmed people here who do not get charmed easily.

thank you KK :) but there is a vast gulf between stimulating the occasional smile on this forum as opposed to f2f real life with real meat people in real time who demand instantly fluent body language transmission/reception and "game" in general.

You got game...you just don't know it.

Do you ever get called out to fix people's sound systems?

the only game I have is an old floppy disc with "doom" on it, and a tetris cartridge in a drawer someplace. nobody asks me to help them with anything.
