I have several versions of "take the a-train" to choose from. btw, did you know that Lawrence welk on his tv show once introduced that song as "take a train"?

LOL......Lawrence Welk and his bubbles....that's for another night!

I like the recorded version.....reminds me of the actual A-Train from the 1940's (and the 1960s).

Eraserhead is a movie - it's a sort of punk / american gothic thing that is very weird, anxious and in parts horrific, but if you get your head right it turns into an outrageously dark comedy. It's one of the least sexy things imaginable.

Excuse my crap humour and clumsy approach, I've got aspergers you know, or as my psych so lovingly put it, I am aspergers.

For men of a certain age, the flash gordon movie of 1980 has its moments.

For British men who hit puberty around the late 70's, Servalan from Blake's 7 certainly tweaked something in the sci fi regions

Are you enjoying your meal, Ms. Chic....you look so naturally graceful when you enjoy your food. No awkwardness there! You hold your fork gracefully....no compulsion needed. Just Natural! Nobody correcting your fork technique!

In the 1970s, we had the kitsch of "Battlestar Galactica."

Nothing beats the original Star Trek though-----not even the first Star Wars!

Even the seagulls are leaving us alone.

They're having fun on a Friday night, too.

Ah yes, Star Trek when it was fresh - unique, though I remember something futuristic about a submarine before it, can't remember the name - it was an american series.

The very first Doctor Who was a national phenomena . . . , I'm showing my age there

Oh, no no, I haven't fallen asleep, just fallen behind, :D

I get it now, Alexander, your Aspergers met my Aspergers like rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock! Lizard ate Spock. In other words, I just didn't get it. That was your humor going right over my head, like a bird, like a plane. Ha Ha.

Kraftie...can WE have bubbles, like Laurence Welk?!? I can bring the bubble machine! You know, a scene from Battlestar Galactica was one of the first drawings I ever made? It is a cylon. It looks cool for someone 8 years old. Hee hee. I still have it, too.

I think I started with the fourth Doctor...and garbage can daleks.

I was OBSESSED with Star Trek for years and years, still am, to a point. I do not have much free time these days, so it is lucky that my primary obsession is art, or else I'd be a very bad student (and teacher). Is it time to go, already, Kraftie? It is Friday night. I do not have a curfew!

I dunno, with me it's more deliberate self referential obscurity than humour. I irritate myself.

LOL...no curfew! We're all Consenting Adults here! I thought you fell asleep on the Beach! LOL

If it's Bubbles you want, it's Bubbles you get!

You're the Good Lola :D

I was too young to really understand how good the Lawrence Welk Show was. I was really into "Emergency" at the time--and doctor shows like "Medical Center."

Well. Consenting adults, hmmm? 'Good Lola?" You'll notice I only had the one shot of rum when I got here. You may recall that alcohol overrides my innate introvert, you know, the one who often misses innuendo? I drink, I am rather friendly. I can probably hold my own with flirting (at least via text...with the delay!)

No doubt this is a rather romantic evening.

*Don't worry Alexander. You are fine. I am not irritated, just amused. C'mon and play with us. This is a very safe bar....although, going back through some of the comments and reading for flirting...perhaps it is also an *exciting* bar tonight?
