This is another interesting song by A Perfect Circle, and again it's from their album Mer de Noms. This one's called "Orestes" and is named after a Greek mythological character who avenged his father's death after his mother plotted with her lover to kill him after coming back from the Trojan War.

A Perfect Circle wrote:
Metaphor for a missing moment
Pull me in to your perfect circle
One womb
One shape
One resolve

Liberate this will
To release us all

Got to cut away
Clear away
Snip away and sever this
Umbilical residue that's
Keeping me from killing you
And from pulling you down with me here
I can almost hear you scream

One more medicated, peaceful moment
Give me one more medicated, peaceful moment
And I don't want to feel this overwhelming hostility
Don't want to feel this overwhelming hostility

Got to cut away
Clear away
Snip away and sever this
Umbilical residue
Got to cut away
Clear away
Snip away and sever this
Umbilical residue
Keeping me from killing you
Snip away and sever
Keeping me from killing you
