You have it exactly backwards. The actual equation is ugly male+high socioeconomic standing=boosted chances to be with beautiful woman.

We hardly ever see anything about an attractive man with a less attractive woman. I know such relationships because I'm IN one. I'm not facially ugly, but I'm fat and I have a conventionally attractive boyfriend.
