My parents recently divorced and my mom has started to have an old high school boyfriend over. The trouble is, he's a sergeant at the Lakeview Shock Facility. You see, I have recently gotten to know a girl at my college quite well, the problem is, I'm worried, given the nature of his occupation (he's technically a cop), combined with the fact that I highly suspect she smokes the occasional joint, he might scare her off. How concerned should I be?

I doubt your mum's boyfriend's job will chase her away; if anything, she might think it's cool that he's in the army.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, just don't bring it up until you're going to bring her home, at that point she either won't care or she's more of an outlaw than you originally thought.

What is a shock facility? You could just limit their contact, I never have or had anything to do with the people my mother dated/dates.
