A message to a certain Aussie Aspie Affection angel...
I'm a new member and I very recently joined Aspie Affection under the username TheWriteStuff.
I live in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I'm a writer and am currently studying towards my Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing.
Apart from studying, writing children's books, short literary prose and science fiction, I have recently started writing professionally for a new disability issue webzine being launched this coming December by the state government.
Now I offer all this as I found the few local ladies on Aspie Affection don't appear to have visited the site very recently.
Trouble is, I'd really like to make contact with one of them in particular. I have sent her a message through the AA site.
Maybe coffee and getting to know her?
From what is on her profile, she seems to my eyes possessed of a rather spectacular set of characteristics (try passing that line off anywhere else! Why do I feel like John Nash in 'A Beautiful Mind'?) She seems such a beautiful lady in so many beautiful ways.
Now I don't wish to identify this lady publicly, so I'll just say for now that if there are any female Australian Aspie Affection members out there who have not logged on in a while, maybe you may want to log on and check your in box?
(Assuming the recent glitches mean one can actually log on - I've had trouble getting on these past few days).
Still, once the glitches make logging on possible, one never knows what you may find in there.
As I wrote above, my name there is TheWriteStuff.
That's because:
1. I write
2. I write science fiction and science non-fiction, so punning the name of the film appeals to me
3. For someone somewhere, I hold out hope that we are all 'the right stuff', and that of course includes me
So log on, and to the lady in question, message me, message me now!
Either on AA or here at this channel.
Let us explore whether we may be each others' 'right stuff'.
