I hope that my fellow Aspies here can sympathize with my emabarrassing (lack of) technique, but my problem is whenever I get close to getting a relationship with an NT lady, I fall apart faster than a jigsaw puzzle. The girl I'm after now is a lovely young lady who is also a close friend of mine, any ideas how I can win her affections???

I can completely relate but unfortunately have no advice at all to give. I'm terrible when it comes to trying to start a relationship .

How close are you? I know alot of my friends end up together with their close friends somehow, from spending alot of time together and being comfortable with each other; but if the friendship is just that - a friendship, then I have no idea how you would win her affections over. She might have feelings for you and thus just by being yourself and keeping a positive, comfortable atmosphere in the friendship may lead it to further developments; however if she sees you as only a friend then I think it will be alot harder - she won't meet up with you with the idea of a relationship in her mind, only a friendship. Maybe give some subtle hints that you have feelings for her and see how she reacts, like inviting her over for dinner or seeing a movie together or something like that. Even giving her a handpicked flower from your garden next time you see her would be enough.
