Communication
All I can say is that I've never really had a real relationship, but I've been looking (although not doing a very good job of it) for a while now. I've been on dates and have gone on a fling, but I have yet to experience crossing into relationship territory. I guess I just never had the courage in me before. I'm sure this is nothing new for lots of people here, but my social skills took longer to develop than most peoples'. And if I were to make up excuses, I could say that my previous places of looking have been, from experience, rather unsuccessful (myspace, bars (somewhat embarrassed by this one), gigs, etc.).
I've thought about trying online dating services, at least ones that don't cost money, but I still feel kind of hesitant on that, and I'm not sure why.
I'm not really a shy guy, either. I just have had trouble transitioning my communications in the proper way, you know what I mean? I get stuck somewhere between step 1 and step 2 (which have no specific definition), and after a conversation ends with me and someone else, we normally just part ways. It's like I'm rehearsing for a play and I'm just waiting for a cue card or a teleprompter.
