I noticed a lot of people here either are AS and have a relationship with someone with ADD, or vice versa. I was just curious if this really is common. What do you think are the pros and cons? And for those of you with AS, is a relationship with someone with ADD more like a relationship with an NT or a relationship with another person with AS?

I have AS and ADD and I'm married. My husband has none.

My girlfriend has AS & ADHD.

Personally i'm not sure what difference ADHD/ADD makes *shrug* :?

Good question, that's what I'm trying to figure out myself. :) Maybe it wouldn't if the person also has AS anyway? It's interesting to me because ADD is also decidedly not-NT but in a different way. Does that mean more potential for the person with ADD to "get" you? Hmm.

This is my thought. ADD folks quite often have spectrum traits as well, which could make it easier for two people to relate.
