When you are considering a person for a girl friend or a boy friend, what types of personalities do you find most suitable.

-------------------------------
EDIT: a friend also, not always a partner, there is dual meaning with boy friend or girl friend.. I suppose one is a relationship in a serious sense but the other is friendship.

The goal essencially is to find certain personalities that are on average compatible with those with High Functioning A.S.D and not. I have my own idea concerning this. For instance people who are belittling are likely not to be compatible unless two individuals are mutually distructive in that sense, yet the subjective nature of this is likely to void the general intent of discovery. Persons are conditioned by interests psychologically, yet discovering how it is certian personality traits are incompatible allows for perhaps the discovery of incompatible personality traits on average.

Or is it that A.S.D is not like I suspect a restrictive personality type, rather generalized traitism in the formation of the ideal of the collective community mentality. Anyone know what I am talking about?

---------------------------------

There has been references to a so called N.T world.. This simply means to me people who do not have A.S.D. There is no real N.T personality or A.S personality beyond generalities.

-------------------------------

For myself people that are calmer, predictable, kind, gentle and understanding.

-------------------------------

I am interested in typology, regardless of physical desires relating to sexual preferences, that are common within the group dealing with personality types and other people. However just those who are officially diagnosed.

There was this book published called “aspie in love”, I don’t know what it is about beyond the title, though I understand that with the internet more people with A.S.D’s are getting together.

This is a typology of sort, though generalized as even among those of similar diagnostic criterion exists extensive differences. The similarities are evident in how difficulties or differences are experienced in life, so the desire is evident with a aspie dating site on this site.

Do people with A.S.D online here prefer certain types of personalities over others?

I always have trouble understanding your posts, but I have an idea of what you're getting at. In a potential girlfriend, I'd look for personality traits like kindness, patience (thus able to communicate with me about what troubles her instead of jumping to conclusions and hating me for my autistic traits), outgoingness (thus able to help me make social connections; I could complement this with technical skill), intelligence, physical attractiveness, and high sexual desire.

Good sense of humour
Intelligence
Caring
Outgoing
Confidence
Sensitive
Slightly unpredictable

These are just a few of the qualities I admire in friends or partners.

I am wondering though, as this topic can seem odd to some, if there is certain personalities that are good with those with a form of autism. Yet saying form, as some forms seem to be more so like the regular person, it is just difficult to gather intelectually.

I cannot imagine really the mentalities of people here, I could think, people are making fun of or something else. Instead I do not even think of the possible mentality of others.

Some people seem more socially aware, more so intelligent with social things and personalities.

I'd think this would be mutual things common in the group figuring of myself:

1. Understanding, more so seeking to understand then to assume. So this means caring.

2. Fast people, those that seem more energetic, less predictable. Not very calm.

3. Loud people.

There is inter-personal inteligence... It's a puzzling thing.

What is girly?

The first I think about is the terminator. Kicking but and chewing bubble gum or the people with a personality that are guys but seem like girls.

My male ego is not desiring to be this, but the old saying goes, suck it up.

Girly men!

Yet some personalities are less macho. That is how people are. People are facinating.

Are you sure you're not NT? Who needs someone with confidence and sense of humor!

Just kidding. Here's what I look for.

8) Accepts me for who I am
8) Takes time to understand me
8) Best friend - always there for me
8) Enjoys fine dining
8) Good cuddler
8) Loyal and caring
8) Romantic and freely expresses affection
8) Wants a deep, meaningful relationship

There is no reason why men shouldn't want those things. Some men think it's all about breast size and curves.

But - sometimes you just fall in love with someone - like love at first site - and then all your lists and compatability tests go out the window (lol). That is why they say love is blind right? And people can make unwise choices. Also, when two people are doing the mating dance they try and be most attractive to each other and present themselves (or perhaps behave themselves) in the best light. I think everyone does that - even if you think you won't. Sometimes we try and be intellectual with love and find out it isn't as easy as just choosing that perfect mate. My husband knew he was going to marry me as soon as he saw me and I must admit he was the complete opposite of me and I liked that about him.

Yes I am sure. I just don't want an aspie boyfriend unless he lives upto those standards.

I'm also going to add intelligent.

That's the catch-22 that leads to a lot of abusive relationships. Even if that's the kind of guy a girl doesn't want, she may end up with him anyway since the chemistry exists.

I agree.
