Matching music to attitude about love

Is it odd to be able to match specific songs or a genre of music to your attitude towards love and/or relationships?

I don't know what it says about me but I can match 3 songs to my personal views on love & relationships:

1. Poison (Alice Cooper & redone by Groove Coverage)
2. Pain (Three Days Grace)
3. I've become so numb (Linkin Park)

Id classify you with having some underlying BDSM tendencies XD. But really, I think you gravitate towards the more dark aspects of love to drown out your own problems perhaps? I dunno, Im just winging it .


Ive never really thought about it before, as I usually immerse myself in the musical/technical side of it and not the lyrics. As for those songs that just click with me for whatever reason, regarding love and whatnot, a short list would be as follows

That would be integrating the feel of the music as well as trying to interpret lyrical relationship to my views on love.
