Yes I know there's a listing but I don't want to go through a whole list...

I am just wondering if there were some AS women in my age group. NTs (as you call non-ASers) seem to not to be attracted to me probably because of my AS.

Is there any adult AS groups in CA at all?

I know of Aspies up near LA who are trying to organize, and that's about it. But they are college-age. Doesn't seem to be anything organized farther south, though there are Aspies down here. Don't know of anyone, organized or otherwise, up north. I can't believe that the Bay Area doesn't have something going, though. They tend to be pretty progressive. You might try checking out or posting to Craigslist or something like that, as well as on some of the boards, that you are looking for a group, if you are in that area.

Most of the people who I see posting (most, not all) on any of a few places on the net I go, are much younger - under 25-ish. I suspect part of the problem is that they didn't start diagnosing people as Aspies until the mid- to late-90s, and those of us who came of age before then are either underground, undiagnosed, or just starting to get a clue, since we were well out of the school systems by then.

So, as much as you don't want to have to go to a lot of effort (looking through lists, etc.) to find folks, you may have to do so for any hope of success.

I'm also female and 42.
In fact, I'm the answer to life, the universe, and everything this year. Fear me.
