Lack of interest?

Any other Aspies on here find that they simply aren’t sexually attracted to other people in general?

I’m almost 18 years old and I've never been attracted to anyone. Period. Like I've never even had a crush on a guy before. But it's almost like my inability to directly relate prevents me from finding that kind of emotional attachment. I've never seen anyone that I really clicked with.

I don't think of myself as asexual... I'm definitely straight, no doubt about it. I see guys who I find attractive, but I'm not attracted.


Does anyone else have this experience?

That's the same with me.

I know I'm not asexual, but straight. Yet, I haven't really had any motivation to get into a relationship, because there was no one I clicked with. I thought sometimes that I might just be aromantic; no romantic preference to anyone.

To add to that, I guess, maybe I'm just picky. While I haven't ever been in one, I don't like the idea of being in a relationship if it's going to end inevitably, and not work out. Not worth my time. On the other hand, I'd love to be in a relationship if it would work out. But I guess I'm just pessimistic about it so I don't really even try.

Well, I think that's actually a pretty healthy attitude. I was one of those bleeding hearts that thought true loOoOOoovVve was going to solve every problem I ever had, and it got me my heart broken, bloodied and cremated over and over, until now I'm a cold, cynical, sarcastic, bitter shell of a human being, only capable of the most superficial casual sexual liaisons.
