then study body language. Just go out and watch people. If you don't learn that way then there are books and youtube videos explaining body language. It isn't that hard to learn.

The main positive signs are flipping or playing with hair, scratching their arms or hands, walking a little behind you, smiling of course, it is really quite obvious.

I notice body language, I just don't trust my interpretation of it. People can use body language to intentionally mislead after all.

then you will notice another part of their body indicating that they are lying. Most Humans aren't aware of all of the processes that are going on in their own consciousness so unconscious mannerisms are always being shown. I, however, have complete control over myself and everyone in the room for that matter.

Well, something I found out is that people don't seem to realize they have this "other language." What I mean is that they do it so reflexively, they've no idea they're sending more information that what they're just saying. When I've talked to a few people about my condition, they say, "Oh everyone isn't able to do that," but it's more of a reading between the lines as opposed to just seeing/hearing what's going one. I'd recommend you check out the series "Lie To Me," as it's about a guy who helps other businesses (or people with personal matters) solve the issues through human "micro-expressions" (ie, facial expressions/body language). They have a few episodes of it on www.hulu.com.

As I've gotten older, I've started picking up on body language. That's how I landed my last girlfriend.

Do you people ever read what others in the thread say or do you just post? You just repeated what I said right above you. That is why body language is so important. Most people are consciously worrying about what they are saying, so unconsciously the body is telling if the person is lying or not. Then if the person is focused on their body movements, then they will indicate a lie in their speech. Humans haven't learned how to be simultaneously aware of both the body and the mind in communication much less mind body and soul.

reading body language is a pain in the neck because so much of it is ambiguous. I'd rather people came out and said stuff.

Half the time I feel like the cat that was pushed away from the person who either hates cats or is allergic.
