Something that I have noticed is that some people seem to like to blame people for having difficulty finding any sort of significant other. I know several people who are very nice who are very frustrated in the L & D arena who aren't on this site. Yet I hear comments about how if they haven't found anyone they "are probably a jerk."

I have a suspicion that this explanation is not truthful, but rather, because some people do not like the idea of somebody who is truly a good person failing at finding a significant other. So some of these people claim that anyone is a jerk who can't succeed at dating.

I know this claim is BS. I know too many people in abusive relationships and too many frustrated singles to be convinced that this is true.

Is this claim made because people do not want to feel that people as a whole are idiots who are prone to making big mistakes?

I have been asked by several girls to stay around them to protect them from their own boyfriends and I think it hurts my social status to help them. They complain that these guys only want to have sex with them even though it is pretty early in the morning. If I actually protect them from their boyfriends I tend to hear rumors that I am gay. Is there any reason that helping such a whore avoid being raped makes me seem like such a fag?

Maybe it's a kind of doublethink.

Because of the inflammatory nature of the discussion, I am locking this thread.
