I feel like I am one of those people staring at a machine that they own,
with no idea of how it works.
like someone who thinks it is broken,
when its probably just my concept of working that needs a fix.

Ive always been the guy to be able to physically see how it works,
and instantly know its innards work.

But right now, Im the fool,
thinking of paying so much money for a repair I dont need.
Monetary value means nothing in this game,
I would have to pay in change.

But as a person, Im smart enough to know,
its a simple issue.
something you would find in life's silly user's manual.
you know, the one we all skimmed, and never really read before we were born?

and know that Ive lost it, Ive been taking this wristwatch in my chest apart,
and putting it back together.
because it really is.
my simple fix.

Falling in love is like being pushed off the end of a cliff.

(OK, that's a simile, but hey, it's an accurate simile)

technically, a simile is a type of metaphor, so you are okay.

love is the agony of dying, without any hope of the sweet solemnity of death to end your suffering

OR

love is puppies and rainbows

one or the other. i forget.

I'd say "worms in the heart," but that one's already taken, isn't it?
