I had asked a guy who I barely knew through a friend to a semi-formal dance this evening which was fun since I had never had a date to a formal event in high school. I go to college, and he has long graduated and they had my homecoming dance this evening. We then went out to dinner at a diner and talked for a while. He then brought me home and asked if he could sleep on my couch since it was so late. I told him, " No," since I barely know the guy. He then dropped me off and gave me a hug and snugged my neck and said, "I can feel your hair." I thought that was a little weird too.

Otherwise, I thought he was a pretty decent guy as far as taking me out to dinner and dancing with me. It was just the whole crashing on the couch and sniffing the neck that got to me.

Do you think he wanted to have sex with me?

You think any of us would know?

Well...maybe.

My sisters would say he definitely wanted to have sex with you because they think men are sex machines who want to have sex with any woman, anywhere, any time.

I disagree with that.

I think he was just tired, but also liked you and would not have passed up the chance at sex if you had offered it.

But yes, it was a bit creepy that he invaded your personal space like that. However such things in such circumstances are not uncommon in the NT world.

Seems a bit strange. But yeah I think the couch thing was just an excuse to invite himself inside and try and get further.

He's a great guy and I like him a lot but I since I had only seen him a total of three times, no I am not going to let him sleep in the couch. He also hugged me and turned off the car and sniffed my neck and said, "I can feel your hair." I just that that was way too fast for a first date and the other was that he was tired and was using that as an excuse to sleep over and I said, "No."

Yeah don't feel bad about it. I wouldn't have either.

This isn't the creep who hung around your apartment swimming pool is it? Do these creeps know each other?

What kind of comment is "I can feel your hair"? Does he want you to cut your hair because there's too much of it? Does he think it's nice to the touch? Is he just a creep with a hair fetish? Was he going to rummage through your couch for strands of your hair?! 8O

Oh no, this guy just gave me a hug and then sniffed me on the neck and sniffed the hair. That it when it said that he could feel my hair. However, he did not want to cut my hair since I am currently wearing a buzz cut. I do think that he wanted to come over and get some sex and use the other line as a way to get his hands down my pants. I don't really know him that well but he does have some great qualities that I agree with but he has some others that I still don't agree with.

was it a long drive home... like 2 hours? because if it was, then maybe he was actually tired.

if not.... then horizontal dancing was on his mind. i prefer when people are at least somewhat direct with their intentions. i find it very hard to sort out what people really mean in situations like that, so i really appreciate directness, i.e., passionately kissing and groping on the doorstep, or an outright verbal request.

i once had a guy crash on my couch, in a similar way, but it wasn't after a date. we had just been hanging with a group of people at the bar. we had dated for a few months, about a year before. i said yes to him staying on my couch, and we talked for a while in the living room. i didn't realize what he was actually asking for, even when he later asked to sleep in my room with me. for a good 20 seconds i stood staring at him, wondering why he would want to be crammed together on my small bed when the couch had more space... then it dawned on me.

Was he drinking or something at the party OP :?: Alcohol can make some guys very tired & weird. It's also possible that he may of been very nervous & may of wanted a kiss or some physical affection instead of sex. Even if he was trying to have sex with you; it's still possible he might could be a good guy & might not would pressure you for sex if you talk to him about it.

Yes. Good thing you said no as it's not the right way to start out a relationship. Now if you wanted to have sex also... ewps. Blew that one.

Unfortunately for him, no it wasn't. It was a half hour drive from the diner and he lives in the same town too. He had also told me that I could have a drink that night but he wasn't going to because he was driving and that I knew that could have been dangerous in case I was so drunk that he could date rape me and I know it's a little extreme of me but I was being cautious. When I on a date, I would like to drink together with my dates.

I don't know, if I ask to sleep on the couch, it means I want to sleep on the couch because I'm tired. I don't use it as a way to get my "foot in the door" for other "fun" things, because:

1) That's misleading.
2) It never works.

I can't speak for your friend though.

I am not afraid of this guy because he's again very decent but I just don't have those kinds of feeling for him.

Of course! He planned to put his hand right in that cookie jar! Then he'd expect breakfast too. It's good you told him no. He's got a pretty big ego thinkin' he'll get a bit o' tail in such short notice. What nerve! See, if you were naive enough to let him sleep on your couch, you would've woke up in the middle of the night with him on top of you. That's rape.
