Is it normal to do this?
I have had my boyfriend for three weeks now, but already I am exhausted. I find myself making up excuses not to see him, because I am just too socially exhausted (going out with people too often, even my boyfriend, puts so much pressure on me and makes me constantly irritable and tired).
Don't get me wrong, I love him to bits, but I just can't deal with going out with someone more than about once a week.
I can't tell him it's because I'm autistic (aspergers), as I'm self-diagnosed... or can I? Would he believe me? Where do I go from here?

Don't tell you have Asperger, or you think you have.
Tell him about your love of silence and calm and try to articulate what to you before you explain to him. Do never criticize the people you meet as a reason to socialize less, just be accurate about the need.
It is only 3 weeks, so maybe he is too enthusiastic for the moment and he still feels the need to keep you entertained as much as he can to be happy and for you to feel happy. It may slow down naturally with time. Tell him you are just happy with him.
On the long term, try to find something that helps you resourcing efficiently, I found that Aikido was perfect for me.
