Do you still cherish your first love?

Yes. I met my first and only love just over 2 years ago and we began dating instantly. We were together for 18 months before she dumped me on 30th December last year at the start of what was supposed to be the begining of our festive period together, I'd been looking forward to it for a month. I never really got a clear reason why but I cannot hate her and still love and miss her.

'Yet' indicates some form of certainty for the future.

I am not that certain.

Why only men? This is a valid question for anyone.

Depends on what you mean by cherished. I'm no longer in love with her. We still talk occasionally. I have fond memories of being completely infatuated with her. That's pretty much it: pleasant memories. She's married now. There's perhaps a tinge of pain when I think about her being with some other guy, but I quickly dismiss it as nonsense.

I'm more upset with the last relationship not working out. That was a clusterfrack on so many levels. :(

Because men are supposed to be jerks and not caring for first love while women cherish for it by default /sarcasm.

No,no,no!....I just wanted to see if an aspie guy could be sentimental about a first love...because it was a first.

I remember her with fondness, but not life consuming fondness.

By cherish I mean to remember fondly as a first maybe from childhood...like remembering your first kiss in 5th grade...I don't necessarily mean cherishing your first adult relationship with the sex and everything else...I meant the light-hearted kind of lovin' from your youth....and that does NOT include bangin' somebody in the back seat of your first car at the age of 16. I mean the pink clouds, soft music kind of first love.

My Real First Love was my late wife,
who I cannot "get over" or forget.
