Guys...the more you want, the less you're gonna get. The more you tell people how much you want a GF and will take anyone who shows interest in you, the more your chances of getting a girlfriend go down. Girls don't want guys who will go out with anyone; they want to feel like there is something special about them that made you choose them over everyone else.

Well I do have an idea of what I want in a relationship right now.
Honestly though - I believe it's kind of ok to be be a bit dependent and even a bit desperate - these are emotions that I don't want to repress.

Also, I do not see why this is necessarily repellent.

Yes but I don't think the rules apply to everyone - these particular rules don't apply to me anyway.
