I used to think I was decently ugly but apparently girls think I'm cute, I know this because of several sources. I know that it's not a good thing, well at least not as good as being told I'm hot. But obviously I knew I wasn't hot already, at least I'm not ugly. How do you think this will affect me? I'm not sure how to ask this question but I guess I just want to know what you guys think about this.

I hope this will give you a little more confidence and help you to see yourself more in a more realist way.

Congratulations!

Of course girls thinking you're cute is a good thing.

Why is that bad? Now that you have the looks, you can get any girl you want. Of course, you already had the looks, and looks don't matter as much as they appear to anyway.

posture, confidence etc are largely more important than looks. you can fake that but i would not try it if you want a relationship. become it, don't fake it! the first thing that is needed prior to all this is self esteem (IMO)

Well I don't really agree that it's a good thing and I'm old and smart enough to know how the world works, I know that when girls say you're cute they usually don't want to date you. But I guess it's better than being ugly right?

"Cute" has multiple meanings, depending on what the girl is thinking at the time. It can mean any of the following:

1) Very physically attractive and somebody I very much want to date

2)Harmless and overly youthful looking and reminds me of my younger brother or nephew, dating would feel like incest or pedophilia (Justin Bieber)

3)Moderately physically attractive and somebody I might or not not want to date depending on what his personality is like

You are assuming that girls mean 2) and in fact think that is the only meaning but they could just as easily mean 1) or 3). You just don't know unless you get to know them. Don't assume that it means dating is not an option. You will be wrong just as often as you will be right.
