Hi everyone, I'm new to this message board. I wish I stumbled upon it during my high school years because I was socially younger than my other peers and I can relate to a lot of the stuff on this. Since then, I thought I found my soulmate when I went to college, my first and only boyfriend. He is diagnosed with Aspergers, but I can relate to him like peanut butter and jelly.
The problem is, his interests are making him anxious because he is trying to pull away from them
and I don't want to lose him to them. They are not very good interests and put him at a potential to be bullied. He tries to join political groups and some of them are very extreme, and sometimes he goes out of state for days to be around these dangerous people. I am afraid for him and so are others. I don't want to lose him and I am very patient with him. He is one of my interests, by the way, and I would be devastated if I lost him. I tell him they are not a good idea, but accept them. Of course, I am not angry about his obsessions, but these could put his life in danger because these people running these organizations of the extreme political parties are cruel. They are full of hate and dislike, and I don't know why my boyfriend wants to be around them. I helped him, along with others, to help him get away from these groups. It is not the obsessive part of him, just I fear these people will harm him because he is sometimes too trusting.
I am sorry for the long-winded story, but I guess it shows how I care.

Thank you for replying. My boyfriend is not involved in LaRouche, but conservative groups which I do not support because they are violent and have much hate. Since my boyfriend is sometimes too trusting, I fear they will take it out on him. I am a peace-loving person and am afraid these people will lead to his downfall, as his parents and councelor fear, also.
