i was seeing this girl, Lourds and we hit it off.
yesterday she told me that she wasnt ready for dating.
from what i gather, she has been in some bad realtionships, and thats cool i have been too!
i care for her (and her sisters kids. they are soooo cute!)
idk here are some blogs she posted about us

i love coffee... don't you? :-D

lol, ok, after many postponed dates, i have my first one friday. ^_^ true they guy is young (i feel so old!) but he's very nice. we had coffee. lol, we're both on the same meds! lol. so now i know for a fact that this guy is compassionate. (here that bat turd? c-o-m-p-a-s-s-t-i-o-n-a-t-e).

i'll let you know how it goes this friday. ^_^

(i guess this is a stab at a guy?)
idk

heh, guess where we went?

yes. i finally went on my date. >_<
we saw cars (cause some of the movies didn't look good and they weren't playing at the time we met).

date was fun, some lady next to us had a loud annoying laugh, plus she took her shoes off.. yuck!! !! X_X
and yea... twas fun, we're going to go do something again soon. ^_^

now she wants me to come around her pad when ever i want and chill and i love hanging out with her.
,y gut tells me to wait it out and it will tur out alright, but there is a nagging thing that keeps on saying 'get rid of her'

Why rush it? If you like her... keep hanging out with her. Being friends first and getting to know each other is actually a good thing. You might even be flattered that she wants to hang out with you. That means she likes you.

Would you want a girl who isn't selective? That is all she is being by wanting ot wait to get to know you. Selective. She is respecting herself, you, and even the notion of relationships. Why would you want a relationship with a girl who will jump right into one with anyone? So.... if you can look at it as a good thing... it actually says a lot about her character that she takes relationships seriously. (Real relationships take time) Sounds like you have only seen her a couple times so far? If so then it's actually going really well.

Also - girls don't hang out with guys they don't like (even as a friend). So take this as a nice beginning. Whether you have a friendship or a boy/girl friend relationship later, either way, if you like each other it's a positive addition to your lives.

Just my opinion.

IceMan,
I don't know the people on this board very well, but I assume you are Aspie and she is NT?

If she is NT, my bet is she is trying to protect herself from getting hurt and wants to delay the physical side of the relationship. She does have an interest, why else would she ask you to hang around her place? Take it slow and easy and let her get comfortable around you.

If she is Aspie, chances are she isn't ready to date but likes your company.

Either way, focus in on her positive comments and actions.

Good luck,
SheDevil

Ah...the elusive 'chemistry'.

Well don't sweat it if possible... There is absolutely nothing to do about not having chemistry and it is neither person's 'fault'. Just happens. It's a roll of the dice I guess.

This quote really sounds to me like she was trying to make someone specific jelous. Maybe she wanted you to spend a lot of time at her place so that person would see/hear about it and get jelous, and then ended it when she realised you weren't effective enough for her revenge. I'm only suggesting this because something similar happened to a friend, she could just as likely have freaked out about the age difference or something.

Regardless of the reasons, I'm sorry to hear about this. I know for myself, when something like this happens it's like taking two steps back.

Good to hear. Also glad to hear the kids like you, because it earns you instant points with the rest of the family.
