I want a girlfriend.

I really, REALLY miss some girl to give a hug. I've never tried it. And I am too old for this stuff (25 years old).

What do I do? I can't stand this any longer. I want someone of the opposite gender to give me a hug and whom I can hug too :'(

Problem is, I am too mentally unstable, suffering from anxiety, for having a girlfriend.
I am so afraid that she don't want me :'( - that NO woman on earth wants me :'(

Well, there's bound to be someone out there for you, even with current issues in life. Yeah. I'm not one to give advice since I suck at this stuff, all I can say is good luck finding her. :)

Well I definitely know how you feel... There's so much affection I want that, as a grown man, i couldn't ask of my parents like i could when i was 5 or 6...

Welcome to the club :(

I feel like a big void in my life can't be filled. I have no one to blame but myself and there's people all around me that are getting married and I'm still a sad, lonely, pathetic aspie virgin...

Oh my goodness this is so depressing!

If it makes you feel any better, galilei, I know how you feel and I feel exactly the same way. Except I'd prefer a boyfreind of course. :) I'm sure we're not alone in feeling anxious and everything about the prospect of dating. Umm, all I can say is keep looking, get out in the world and get involved in things that interest you, and maybe one day you'll meet the right girl? That's what I'm hoping for myself. :)

Good luck!

Oh and hello toadofsteel! Liking the scooter :)

There's loads of people out there. Out of those people, there are plenty who have problems a lot worse than yours.

If you want a girlfriend, make an effort to get one.

*wants to gush all over the thread, but will not*

Just - keep looking and don't give up and you'll find someone lovely.

the thing with me is i dont even know what the hell a girlfriend is anymore. my 20s have been practically date/relationship free and not all by choice of course. and with the ever increasing personal family/social pressure to be married and have children as im ever closer to 30 is getting overwhelming and depressing too. it would be so nice to have a decent somewhat long term relationship again. so you are not alone. and good luck.

Because I am a human being and NEED to have someone to love and be loved.

Just like I need to have some food. Eating is not something you "deserve" - other than being a living organism.

no love is something you desire, right now I don't desire love

nobody needs love, you just desire it

Maslow would disagree.

If your parents didn't love you, where do you think you would've been?

Everyone needs to be loved, or we would be... non-existent.

Good point.

I think people need love - maybe not to exist, but to live.

I meant non family love
you know-like boyfriend/girlfriend love

many desire a significant other, but is not going to kill us or makes us any less for not having one
thats my point
people here seem to think they'll die if they don't get one
