I thought I would think back and calculate how many times a connection from a dating some resulted in me meeting the person:.
Causal Kiss - 1 Meet Up
I used Casual Kiss (more specifically it's college-aimed subsidiary Campus Kiss) in my earliest experiments with online dating about 10 years ago. I did meet one person, who went to the same college as me, but nothing really came out of it (partially because I didn't really consider online dating a serious option at the time).

Plenty of Fish - 5 Meet Ups
With Plenty of Fish, I've had the biggest success with actually communicating with (and in some cases meeting) people. That said, nearly all of these meet ups turned out to be one time affairs and, in at least one case, the girl didn't really seem that serious (and was trying just for the hell of it).

Lavalife - 2 Meet Ups
Lavalife was the only pay site I tried. I lucked out when I met two people through the site. The first connection showed promise and lasted for about five months (with four meet ups) before it finally fell apart. However, the second one was the complete opposite, once again being a one-time deal. When it comes down to it, in the long run, I don't think Lavalife is worth the $40 a month subscription.

OKCupid - 1 Meet Up
So far, only one of my connections through OKCupid resulted in a meet-up. However, I do have to say that it is probably the (free) dating site that I like the most and it will probably be the one I continue with in the long run.

I would also like to try EHarmony at some point, but its subscription fee is a bit too much for me to afford right now.

I tried okcupid the other day(people on here kept bringing it up)... I think, at best, they're good for short-term hookups. Not really a fan.

I've done an Eharmony profile before. I would at least start a profile, which is free. You can get 9 free matches, but the point is that they have a very deep questionnaire many pages long, and if you are super honest with yourself, instead of making a profile that other women like, you are more likely to meet someone who'll compliment you. I too don't have the funds to get a full membership with them either, but hope to get one in a few months.
