Does anyone here ever interact with someone either online or IRL on essentially a daily basis without ever having a romantic thought about them and then wake up one day and realize you're practically in love with them and probably have been for some time?

Happened to me recently...

I'm talking about you Grisha

I wish you guys all the best!

Seriously, though, I think it's very cool that your heart is so open, Grisha. 8)

But seriously, even at my age it still dumbfounds me as to how clueless I am about my own feelings, I'm in "Mr Spock" mode 99% of the time and when these things happen it throws my world into cognitive chaos...

Yes, thats pretty much how 90% of my relationships started

I've only had one relationship that was a "love at first sight" situation

Nope. The only people I see consistently on a day to day basis are my mum and sister (I haven't a job yet) so there would be problems if I had a crush on them. :P

This is how my boyfriend and I got together :D we've been together for a year and a half, so the whole "surprise crush" thing must work quite well. <3

Actually it's functionally irrelevent because I have no intention of acting on these feelings, it's just an interesting phenomenon, that's all...

But as long as it doesn't cause you untoward angst, it can be a good thing, right? Interesting is good?!? (at least in my little world)

Yes, on the balance it's definitely a positive thing. I get a really nice feeling when I think about this person even though an actual relationship is practically out of the question...

This has happened to me once or twice. It kind of hits you suddenly in the stomach with a big whooshing noise and a bump.
Or that could just be me.

Anyway, I'm glad you're having nice feelings. That's always a good thing.
