There is no need for capitalization for these guys. No matter how they sugar coat it or have their chosen word heroes that word things carefully, underneath it all, what they are basically saying is that they are entitled to controlling you and manipulating you.

Women, look out for the warning signs of a pick up a**hole. There is no art in their tactics just men who believe women are objects and can't bring themselves to ask a woman out. Instead they believe women should just fawn over them and if there is one woman out of the bunch the pick up artist is really targeting, he thinks his tactics are GOING TO WORK as in entitlement issues to your vagina.

Learn the signs.

1. Hot and cold treatment. One day ignores you. Another day is getting close to you and talking to you. (This is manipulation.)
2. He likes to be in control. You may notice that he understands the timing of when you arrive somewhere so he uses this time to manipulate you further.
3. Suddenly, all other women hate you as he's playing games with them too.
4. If you have to be around this pick up a**hole and there comes time for more days where you won't see him around like holiday, he will do stuff he thinks might upset you before that break. He hopes to hurt you so that you will think about him.
5. After the break, he's being nice again.

He'll come up with other ways of hurting you...oops I mean being skillfull at this so called "art".

This won't stop until you break all ties with the pick up a**hole.

This may have you baffled at first but whatever you do, do not go along with it at all. When you start noticing the warning signs you have to tell him boldly "I am under the impression you are into mind games and you really need to knock it off."

If he refuses then you'll have to come up with your own plan B.

These types of men don't really understand women but have decided that all women want a jerk. They also fear rejection and resort to these immature games to cover it up. These men are not a good catch. May have considered themselves good nice men not understanding that there is a difference between a nice guy and a creepy whiner.

They blame women for everything. Women are to blame also over feminism which they have distorted into meaning "being a man". These men don't view of women as human beings but blow up dolls with no rights.

Some of these men see a pretty woman and instantly have made up their minds that it is their duty to torture her because she must have had an easy life.

Women, these guys will also cheat on you. It turns into an addiction they must defend. Nothing good about these guys at all. If you see this unfolding before your eyes, stay strong, don't budge and the females that are being mean to you over this man have fallen for his games.

Ladies, men don't understand why we are more defensive than them. Men lack the empathy to understand our defenses. They don't fear being taken advantage of like women do or they claim that they do understand and then they say some remark like "Gold diggers" meanwhile the women they want are perfect models as if they are entitled to just perfect models. Women also play games and from what I've noticed, both women and men who resort to these abusive tactics usually have a personality disorder.

Some men who are shy and tired of being shy fall into this trap of thinking this is acceptable behavior but it's not. Then they get sucked into hating women and treating them like s**t.

I don't subscribe to these tactics personally and I am, and will probably always be single because of it - this is my decision and I "own" it.

But this goes beyond right/wrong, guys do it because it works - and the only way it's every going to stop is when it stops working (meaning never).

^ Sorry but it doesn't always work. These people have something to sell and it's like a cult. They make you fear the alternative if you are a buyer.

When it doesn't work, you are surrounded by your best abusive mind game playing pals treating you like a low life for your failure of just seeing women as b*****s.

This is a great subject.
There was once a thread by hyperlexian about sharing experiences with pua artists on an attempt to prevent possible future victims but it ended up dying(members felt it was a very personal issue and most victims didnt want to talk about it).

This story has been making the rounds. Old school pick up artist Gunwitch was arrested a few days ago for shooting a 20-year-old woman in the face at a New Year’s Eve party. Reports are that she survived but I imagine is pretty deformed.

Gunwitch is most famous for having his own chapter in The Game and being one of the first proponents of being upfront and direct with women. His favorite motto was, “Make the ho say no.” His personality was regularly a feature on the Barry Kirkey Show years ago, where he came off as an eccentric, slightly-insane, angry but funny redneck who loved chasing women and loved guns. He imparted listeners with epic stories about gun fights in Vegas, bar brawls and how he was once shot when he was 13. When I saw this I can’t say I was surprised or ever doubted its authenticity (in case you’re wondering, users from his website called the jail where he’s being held and confirmed it is actually him).

It’s too easy to make the obligatory PUA jokes here about negs or IOD’s. That’s poor taste. Some girl got shot and almost died. Regardless of our many gripes and frustrations about women in the scene and the sometimes misogynistic ramblings you’ll find from some guys, violence against women in any form has never been supported and is immoral. I don’t care what she did, she didn’t deserve a gunshot to the face. No one does.

Unfortunately, this will be yet another tarnish on a scene that’s been fighting tooth and nail to retain any credibility lately. And unfortunately, this may indirectly affect all of us who used to be involved with PUA or are still tangentially tied to it. A few years ago, there was a lot of hopeful talk about pick up artist teachings being accepted as mainstream and even supported in some cases… but the fact is that hope slowly died when it became apparent how odd and vulgar some of the teachings actually are. Gunwitch’s behavior doesn’t help anybody’s case, and even though we can attribute it to a one-off occurrence by an unstable guy… it will reflect poorly on everybody involved in the community/industry.

Unless Gunwitch can afford a nice lawyer (doubtful) and present some sort of self-defense argument (how shooting a 20-year-old girl in the face can be construed as self defense, I don’t know), then he’s looking at spending most/all of his life in prison. And if he is found guilty in court, I say good riddance.

pick up artists are the lowest form of human beings. thankfully, they are benign.

Of course it doesn't always work. These guys aren't afraid to mess up. Besides, it's much better to learn signs that someone doesn't care. If you only focus on one type of person, you won't be able to recognize it when other people try and take advantage. It doesn't always have to be about sex. The easiest way for me to tell is if someone isn't used to hearing the word "no". I'm not talking about relationships, I'm talking about EVERYTHING. If someone can't handle no, they can't handle yes. Someone that can't handle no will try and convince you to change your answer. If a second no doesn't work and is met with more attempts, that person is no good. Don't make this more complicated than it has to be. That's what these people do. If you do that, you are no better than they are. Someone who is perpetually confused will always listen to guys like this, because they aren't confused at all.
