"I like a fit healthy girl who looks after herself" - translates into "f*ck off, fatty"

"You aren't that great looking"

"I can get way hotter than you - you're mud/dirt/filth in the looks department"

"You're good enough for a root, but I won't date you"

You'd be very surprised at how commonly these are used. I've had all of these used against me by males, aspie and not.

Well the reason for that emoticon was to portray that I'm not going to feel sorry for myself because these people have done these to me. If it's a valid claim, I will try and do something about it. If It's not, I will forget the person and write it off as experience dealing with different types or jerks. :P

I like the cut of your jib. You're being self responsible.

I am also a serial whiner about other things. Although when I lose friends because of whining, I don't blame them, I realise that I'm a whiner and try to change >_<

You know, what's sad is that when I saw the thread titled "Shaming tactics against males" I immediately knew it was written by The_Face_Of_Boo before I looked at it. When I saw this thread, I immediately knew it was written by hale_bopp. Draw whatever conclusions you want from that. You can get mad at me all you want, but many people probably thought the same thing before looking at these two threads. I'm just the one that came out and said it.

I don't see why anyone would get mad.

This is a bandwagon thread.

Haha yes, you're dealing with jerks when you hear that.

I just wish guys who hear the same could realise it too.

Being bisexual I've heard similar from both sides. Men and women aren't as different as some think.

A jerk is just a jerk, no matter what their genitalia.

Most however (anecdote) don't seem to be jerks. Most aren't interested in me but most don't know me, I'm the same. I'd be a hypocrite to condemn that.

But anyone who outright insults someone, jerk.

Wait a minute! Is this... meta-shaming?

Who are these men and why are they turning someone like you down? I'm sure that most of the guys here would love a chance to be with you, myself included. Then again, nobody likes me, so I guess the answer is no, huh?

There's only two women i've ever turned down, both in high school, and both because they were only hitting on me to make fun of me, with no real intention of being with me.

probably because I'm a whiny whiner. There are lots of guys who can't stand me on here for that reason, and I respect that. :)

But these guys who I'm talking about are the sort of guys with huge egos about how great they are.

Out loud? Most people aren't that rude, are they?

We all know that no one is into everyone of the opposite sex. That's just life. But that sort of attitude is just uncalled for. Thoroughly uncivilized.

OMG! I'm sometimes just downright ashamed to admit that we're all the same species. I simply can't even imagine saying those things to someone. Well, it's their loss. By being so narrow minded they are missing out on a lot. Looks are among the least important things to consider when engaging in human mating rituals.

Meridian-Webster defines tactics as

Quote:
the art or skill of employing available means to accomplish an end
Those guys aren't using art or skill, so they're not using tactics. They're just being jerks.
