Is it wrong or bad to have a particular kind of person you are attracted to?

I do have a broad idea of who I am attracted to in terms of the mental and the physical, so I don't think I'm so shallow that I only have a particular interest.

Out of curiosity, I'd like to know what is your range of ideals you'd like in your partner? And what kind of person do you tend to attract (if you do attract them?)

I often find myself veering towards petite light-skinned black/mixed raced girls with a slightly buxom physique. Every girl I've ever had a strong interest in, had those particular physical attributes, with varying levels of intellect. Most black guys where I am from are attracted to the same kinds of girls too. Admittedly, I get a lot of interest from white girls, which I must say is quite flattering, even when you factor in that a lot of the white girls I meet from south london seem to only be interested in black guys  sometimes I wonder if it is because I'm black and nothing else lol.

I seem to attract very petite girls, and I've realized I am attracted to them as well. Not like I act on that or anything...

I attract all kinds, which is fine with me since I don't really have a 'type'. Not physically, anyway.

You and every other man on the planet. ;)

As for me, Tall with perfect teeth and a chiselled jawline. I also like big guys. As in, not of a slender build. That may have something to do with the fact the only man I saw much of growing up was my father, who is tall and of a large build so I became accustomed to that being what a man should be? /shrug.. just guessing.

As for people who are attracted to me, well, all sorts, I guess.

The people who are attracted to me and the people I am attracted to are completely different people.

I am not attracted to at least 95% of guys...especially sweaty, hairy, uber-masculine guys. The problem is that I seem to attract them in the hoardes. I know a few great guy friends who look like this...they are great friends, but the only problem is they are obviously very attracted to me and flirt with me a lot. I can count at least 4 of my guy friends who do this. It is so annoying!

I am only physically attracted to younger or young looking boys. Not high school age, since that would be creepy, but ages 18-21. My last boyfriend was 19 (I was 22). The problem is, I am not attracted to their personalities much. They are very immature, whiny and short-sighted, and the last boyfriend was no exception.

As for ladies, I think I am a lot more attracted to them. I like taller, darker/olive skin, a buxom figure and feminine looks. Butch girls and any masculine behaviour is a total turn off.

Petite, or slight, fair skin, tomboyish but not "butch". All of the girls I've dated have been about as far from this as you can get. The most successful relationship I've ever had was with a girl who was very feminine, curvy, and olive-complected.

I don't really have a physical type per se, it's kind of on a case-by-case basis, like the proverbial definition of pornography: I can't describe it, but I know it when I see it...

As for women I actually attract: None that I am aware of.

Sociopathic gold-diggers feign interest occasionally though...

I cant say i have a type of woman that i feel is my want. Since likes are up to individuals and how they are and not just what group they belong to.

with that said i dont know of any group/type that i attract.

The kinds of people who were attracted to me were gay guys 8O
Physical appearance is not much of a of factor for me when liking anyone as long as she wasn't dressing slu*ty or outlandishly to get attention. My idea of a ideal partner was a girl who was kind of immature, ditsy, hyper, kinda stupid/slow/easily confused sever dyslexic type, dependent, & had emotional issues that made her needy & clingy. My ex girlfriend was like that & she was the 1st person I ever got close to. I thought someone like that would be practical for me because of my Aspie issues, my physical disabilities & other problems I faced. I thought someone like that would be more on my level, understanding, accepting & more likely to make me feel useful in the relationship. I was not limiting myself to this thou & was mostly looking for any girl who would give me a real chance & I met a girl here on WP a couple months ago who did. Megz is the opposite of that & we balance each other out & are very compatible. she's my ideal partner & i cant imagine wanting to be with anyone else

I don't really have a physical "type" that I'm attracted to. It's much more a personality and intellect thing for me. I've liked short, tall, thin, stocky (though never anyone who was morbidly obese), different hair and eye colors, whatever...I'm attracted to who they are.

Kind-hearted, friendly girls are often the ones I find most attractive. They do tend to draw a lot of attention, and so are almost always taken when I meet them.

I think girls like that tend to prefer more calm, serious and self-assured guys anyway, so I don't think I'd be able to date someone like that on those characteristics alone. I do enjoy a mischievous sense of humour as well in a female.

i don't really have an ideal.... i guess my ideal is based on who i am currently attracted to. it's sort of a package deal, not based on specifics but more of an overall impression based on attitude, personality, intelligence, physical appearance (attractive to my eyes). it isn't usually an instant thing that i feel immediately on interacting with someone, but sometimes it has been like that.

my boyfriend stood out quite strongly based on his posts on WP, so my attraction didn't have much to do with any sort of ideal. i was intrigued by the impression he gave. he came across as kind and calm and thoughtful yet also willing to offer a dissenting opinion or insight into a situation. with his words, he seemed to look past emotions and get right to the core of a matter. he also shared a major interest with me (music) and was informative and supportive to other people who were into music. i didn't find out what he looked like until later on, but i was very happy to see his appearance when i saw a picture. none of this really pointed to an ideal as such.

i dunno who is usually attracted to me... can't think of find anything connecting them, really. if i looked at them side-by-side i don't think they'd fit certain criteria. ethnicity, age, body type, etc are all different.

and i'm sorry to embarrass you with this, bucephalus. bwahahaaaaaa

I'm attracted to a wide range of personalities I think.

But for hardcore physical attraction, beyond the usual stuff it's the nose that really sells me. I don't know why. Certain types of noses. In particular the nostrils and the area where they meet the face.

same here. I've been attracted to all sorts of guys, including ones that were outright ugly (think Steve Buscemi).

as for the other way round - I seem to attract emotional types, which is weird and never ends well. also - old men, as in literally old, 60-70. I have no idea why
