I'm really happy with my progress over the past few year. I can generally hold a conversation once it gets started, even smalltalk but I have real trouble walking upto a girl and saying anything that isn't awkward random words. If there's a common
friend to start the conversion great. How do people do this, in general.

To clarify I'll give an example. Say I'm in a museum, there's a cute girl standing with a friend by a painting.
What's spet one? Are there any other ways that don't require going out on a limb so much?

Step one is to walk over to the painting and look at it and if you see something interesting about it; turn to the girl and say; I've seen reproductions of this and never realized that these aren't just dots; they're flies. Or whatever interests you. Buuuuut.......

Approaching a complete stranger is begging for a rejection. Women are wary of strangers; and wisely so.

My favorite move is the "I commend you" approach (for lack of a better term).

The approach is braindead simple. You approach, in some cases clapping, and you express your admiration for whatever she's doing at that time. If we're talking museums, that shouldn't be hard if you know any of the displays and exhibitions going on.

I've found it's a killer approach simply because women are rarely commended by men and even less so by men they don't know.

It has two downsides:

1. You may have to know your s**t.
2. It's a big persona open. Meaning, you may have to hold up to the expectations you've set by approaching in this manner.
