All nice threads around lately, time for some jerk threads for jerk users.

I am a self-proclaimed jerk.

Been called jerk sometimes....

And I was told that since I am middle-eastern, that should automatically put me higher in the jerk hierarchy.

So tell about your jerk side (or what you think or told as your jerk side) of your character.

I'm a jerk. I'm overly-ordered in nearly every way imaginable, plan things intricately even when completely unnecessarily, and usually am unable to empathetic. I seem cold, logical, detached, and place an artificially high value on intelligence. When I am discussing or doing something I am good at, I don't accept errors and I don't take second opinions. I am a perfectionist, sometimes, and that is disliked by most acquaintances. Finally, I secretly despise people who destroy the English language by using poor grammar and spelling on the internet.

There's also a high probability I may have kicked your dog.

jerk chicken is not too bad. and i'm sorry but, whoever said being middle-eastern automatically placed you higher in the jerk category, was being a jerk themselves!

I've been referred to many times as an Arrogant Narcissistic Conceited Jerk (or ANCJ for the acronymists in the audience). I embrace the designation, as it carries a certain amount of truth to it -- maybe not as much as my detractors claim, but, still, nobody's perfect.

To be honest, I'm a bit of a grammar/spelling/punctuation Nazi -- people who put apostrophes in plurals should be shot, electrocuted, and fed to the sharks, not necessarily in that order, although the shark thing should probably come last.

Yeah!! Hail to the Grammar Nazi's are the best! I can even give better suggestion's how punish and kill those grammar idiot's, especially those who use apostrophes for plural, the grammar idiot's fate should be burned alive on stick's!! !!

I would cut the middleman out and feed them directly to the fish. They probably prefer their food live - and also you wouldn't wanna pass the electric current on to the shark's teeth now.

it's not the grammar nazis that bother me, it's the barstard's that beat me to this!! !!

Speaking of apostrophication -- I saw a post on another site where the guy wrote something like "There are three dog's chewing on bone's out by the tree's next to the garbage can's."

I almost had me a stroke.

Irregardless...

Despite the fact that I'm really nice, girls like to call me a jerk and punch me, so I don't know. They say its tough love usually

Your comma usage is atrocious.

Doesn't need a comma. "Usually am unable to empathetic" is a dependent clause. Plus I think you missed some words.

And "When I am discussing or doing something I am good at, I don't accept errors and I don't take second opinions."

You need a comma before that "and". "I don't take second opinions" is an independent clause.

And to answer the question posed by the thread:

I like to think I'm more of an a**hole than just a jerk.
