You've probably seen where I've suggested to guys on here asking for dating advice that, in my opinion, the best thing to do is seek out a group that is dedicated towards helping other men with their dating and relationship skills.
Ever since I moved far from home, I decided to look up some social groups in my area online. One of them was a group dedicated to helping guys get into relationships as well as helping guys who are already having relationships and are having problems or guys who are going through divorce. I'll admit I was kind of skeptical at first. I mean, you have to be careful of random meetups posted online when they're not part of any professional organization or affiliation. I had to tell myself "Just go to it. You may get a lot out of it." The group turned out to be amazing and I go every Friday night. It's a great supplement to the David DeAngelo programs in that I receive one-on-one feedback and can ask questions.
The leader of the group last week offered me and another guy to be our wingman for $50/week, and I was excited to hear this. Even though $50 is pretty pricey for my budget, I think it would be WELL worth it. I personally learn much better by practice and seeing how it's done moreso than reading and just being told what to do (i.e. just ask for her phone number, use this pick-up line). I'm going to also see if this includes online dating help (my profile and tact could always use improvement).
Anyways, I firmly believe finding a wingman or two or three to go out and get practice and evaluations is the best way to overcome a lot of the common fears a lot of men have when it comes to meeting and dating women.
