Things I miss doing with a partner during the holidays

These are some things I miss doing with a partner during the holidays. Granted I do many of these things by myself, but a lot of them are different when they’re done with another.

Lying under the Christmas tree and listening to Christmas music
Going for long drives looking at Christmas lights
Walking hand in hand looking through store windows
Having his arms around me trying to keep me warm by a fire
Seeing snow glisten in his hair and lights twinkling in his eyes

I miss that sort of thing and I have never had a relationship like that and the way its going I don't think I will ever have one-I feel so pathetic that all my peers have relationships and I can't even find a person that will accept me-it makes me sad and upset to see people walking hand in hand having someone else in their lives and I want to but just cant seem to find the person-people keep saying they are out there but i have yet to find them.

OP, I'm sorry you're going through this. This is my state of affairs, too, but I'm used to it by now. I don't know what to say except {{hugs}}.

i've never done any of those things so don't miss them. ha-ha in yo face.

I never spent time with a partner during holidays. I had plans to this year but she broke up with me I haven't done anything really special for the holidays in years except visit family so I'm not really missing by not having a partner but I do wish I could spend the holidays with someone. Cuddling by the fire if it's cold enough would be quite lovely

I guess I should have said "beside" not "underneath" the tree. You all made me laugh out loud. Thank you! I really needed that!!

I like the lights too.
Watching Christmas movies together and making fun of them.
Making fun of all the stupidity of the holiday while also including ourselves
Buying or making special things for each other.
Someone to share a cozy dinner
Ice skating or sledding or general snow bum to hang with
