I'm not sure if this is the place to put it or not, but I don't think there is a better place. I'm not even sure if I want to hear the answer to this question or not, but I'll ask it anyway. I have been expelled from school and am in a lot of trouble for carrying a knife. My girlfriend saw this happen, and now I am in a lot of trouble, and I think I'm going to lose her, and she's my last connection to the outside world really. That's it. I would be without a real connection to the outside world for 3 and a half years if I lost her. What are the odds that she will stay?

Postscript-Sorry if that was disjointed and frantic. Also, this is Subatai, not his mother.

Every year, there is a long period when I am without a connection to the outside world. It's called summer.

I saw what your mother said last night and it seems like you got a raw deal. I wish I could be of more help.

I noticed your "moms" thread was deleted. Not a chance in hell your going to serve 3.5
years for that knife situation. You will get probation. Do you got $3000- $5000 for a
lawyer. It will be money well spent to hire a lawyer. You can get a job and pay back
your parents.

Don't get desparate and try to keep her from leaving. Instead, approach her calmly and just talk to her and tell her that you understand any decision that she has to make and that you still want to be together. Let her know that you are there for her and that you need her.

My father is a lawyer. That post sounded almost malicious, although maybe I misinterpretted.

Well if your father is telling you that you face 3.5 years he is just trying to scare you.

He actually told me 5 years; but for some reason I hardly batted an eye. I'm taking this better than I should be. My main concern is not going entirely hikikomori, which is where the whole situation with the girl comes in.

She's still going to stay with me. Is it wrong that I'm euphoric over this 72 hours after my arrest? Meh, who cares. I'll go prancing merrily along now. I can't ever remember appreciating anything this much, but after the whole situation with semi-jail, I'm suddenly appreciating everything a lot more.

It is not at all wrong. You did something about a persistent problem. Bullies are deadly dangerous. Giving them a little back is more than fair. And your girlfriend still loves you and your world didn't come to an end.

>>Giving them a little back is more than fair<<

That's pretty stupid. A) It makes it worse B) Where does it stop? This 'getting even' mentality is destructive and moronic.

Mitch, first take note that I said "giving a little back." Also, bullies are always cowards. If they weren't cowards they wouldn't be bullies. If the message gets across to them that they will get hurt they stop bullying. When I was a teenager I didn't even have to beat up the biggest one of them, just one of them, to get the message across. This isn't getting revenge. It's speaking to them in their own language.

A bully should consider the possibility that he will be seriously injured or die if he bullies someone. He should also not have any idea where the blow will come from. It is fair because that is what he does to his victims. It works because he can't take a dose of his own medicine.

Personally I find it hard to take revenge, I know it seems silly, but I just can't hold grudges against anyone, even those threatening me...

As I'm from Perth Australia, the way a bully usually attacks starts with the line "hey c**t, got any money" with the obvious plan of not believing me when I say no..

I learnt that if I respond with "I'm poorer than you c**t" in just as rough an accent they tend to leave me alone..

I was bullied at school and the only way I stopped it was by keeping myself away and out of that group, though I know its impossible to do in some situations, if you're teaching someone a lesson I get it, if you're doing it for revenge I believe it won't make you feel any better.

Think positively. Many girls find criminal activity to be a turnon, so you're in luck!
