Today I did my first attempt and it was great success, I dunno if it was just luck but I am making effort to put distractions aside from my mind.
As I was just entering the gym today, the was that staff (who became a buddy of mine) taking out a malfunctioned small LCD, towel on hand and a screwdriver. As there were series of thefts lately in the area I was like "hey! so you're the thief!". The girl who was on the leg press laughed bit loud for I dunno why, so I instantly wanted to exploit the moment, I stared on her and pointed on the sign "NO loud voices", that didn't help as her laughing went from normal to bit hysterical - for not sure really what, her friend laughed on her laughing too , it wasn't even the funniest comment.
She gave me later her name to add her on fb ;-] , fascinating.
epic win boo. epic win.
you just gotta be confident. if you lack confidence your jokes wont be funny for some reason, at least thats what i've found.
also, like someone above me said, a lot of it is HOW you say the joke. if you tell a joke using terrible tonality, the joke also wont go over well because thats just as large of a part of the joke as the joke itself.
Well, I don't think I am good in telling regular long jokes, because I don't know how to tell them, I suck at story-telling because my voice is very monotone (as few told me many times after i do oral presentations) . I would rely only on the funny short quick comments.
Also, when I went to the treadmill , there was her friend who was still laughing and she was on the LCD-less treadmill, I looked on the remaining wires and said "my condolences", that made her laugh too.
I was thinking in image (text) all the time.
