What you people think of polyandry?

edit: Talk about your self, don't start to relativise.

For example one woman has 5 boyfriends and has 1 kid for each of them. Don't respond to the example, you can think of other arrangements.

Good? bad? You would want to have that kind of arrangement? Think its disrespectful? It wouldn't be nice to put the pressure to NT women a bit for a change? Wouldn't be safer for the woman(less abuse)? etc....

please elaborate more.

(this post is for everybody to respond, the other is from the perspective of aspie women only)

Well, I'm gay so would not have personal use for it. As far as I know about anthropology, polyandry exists in places where there is a shortage of women - like where female infanticide is common.

It's neither good or bad. It just is.

What if you were a bit more practical?

Who says I'm not practical?

Polyandry is something that each individual person needs to decide for themselves if it's good for *them* or not.

One person's diet
is another person's poison.
All things are not absolute right or wrong, just different.

Its rather places that have hard environments, like the Himalayas for example.

Hmm, do aspies live in a "hard" environment like the Himalayas?

And yep, that doesn't really concern you. Does it actually bother you?

It would NOT work for me. I'm the kind of guy who gets very obsessed & wants to spend all my time with my partner. Her having another guy in her life would make it harder for us to have time with just the two of us & I would be very insecure about her having someone else in her life

Compared to what you have now?

Not interested. It doesn't matter if it would work for me or not, I won't do it.

Why? You say even if it would work for you?

Because I'm simply not interested in having more than one partner.

I have no one now but if I did have someone & she did have another person in her life; our relationship would have lots of conflict & eventually fall apart due to me wanting her to spend all her time with me instead of the 3rd wheel

This is an interesting topic. I harbor a secret (guess not so secret now) fascination with all forms of polyamory. Since I am a very jealous person, this would not work for me in real life, but I enjoy exploring it through my artwork. Furthermore, since I enjoy reading, I would like to read fiction that deals with the subject matter, if anyone has any recommendations.

Psychology:
Thats very interesting, you say that you have a fascination, but too jealous at the same time. These kind of conflicts would require some "professional" help to sort out. It doesn't mean you are a nut, these kind of conflict are wide spread. Usually people don't realize theres a conflict because one of the urges overwhelms the other. In short, your jealousy is probably just a latent fear of being rejected, if you work on it you can over come it. Of course you do what you want :D .

book:
dawn of sex
Its not fiction, but its related to the subject. I suppose it would do the trick.

I don't think its impossible to overcome with some psychotherapy. You need to talk that through thats all. You admit it your self its a problem. :)
