I returned to school last month after back surgery and something weird has happened. I have a major league crush on this girl who I regularly talk to and she didn't reject me when I poured my heart out for her a few days ago. She doesn't want to date in general right now so I said that I'd wait as long it would but she said that she doesn't want me to wait because she doesn't want me to get hurt. Seeing as how I have made great strides in the past month and a half I am getting love sick and going insane over this girl. Any help would be appreciated.

Try focusing on recovering from your surgery & getting involved with things where you might could meet women

NT's, as adults (perhaps not as teenagers) probably don't get as obsessed about their romantic interests as we do. She may not even know how much you admire her. Ask yourself if there are any particular reasons you think this girl might be wanting to wait longer than you. Maybe she's not as obsessed with you, so it's not as urgent for her?

I've made it abundantly clear how I feel about her but it's feels like a 1 foot forward 2 steps back kind of thing. She said I need to get to know her better but I don't know how to go about doing that. Plus, I keep fearing that shes going to spontaneously start dating some guy without as much as a how do ya do to me.

I honestly thought I had grown out of this type of thing.
