I'm planning to maybe meet with a girl tonight for the first time. I asked her if she would be interested in meeting with me tonight and she responded with a text at just read "trap". I asked her what she meant and she responded with a text that read "I meant yes." Do people sometimes use this word to agree with someone or does this woman sound like this might be playing games with me?

Don't over think this. It was most likely a typo that her autocorrect changed.

Pointless post, but I'm going with typo, too.

I know that the auto-correct on mobile phones is notoriously "fun", but how on earth does "y-e-s" get auto-corrected to "t-r-a-p"?

maybe she wasn't using the word yes. Could have been using another word and then when that got screwed up just said that she meant "yes". She could have been texting and talking to someone else at the same time and typed what the other person said or what she was saying to the other person, I've done that before. I refuse to think it was some sort of subliminal message! That's one of the problems with emailing and texting.

Maybe she was about to type "crap" but got auto-corrected to "trap".

I'll go with that it was an autocorrect.
