I dunno why, but usually most Aspie women i see around do not look 'ugly' per se, but just odd.

I think it's the same idea with our young men and fitness is that we don't really understand social norms so we don't take part in beauty/fitness rituals like everyone else.

i mean, as an explanation, not as a rule.

Meh, I'm average looking. I work and and paint my nails black and wear black eyeshadow so I guess those things can count as beauty and fitness rituals.

I dont think aspies are ugly, physically genetically. We have the potential to be as attractive as any NT out there. Its just that we often dont do things to make ourselves look attractive and we're dont have much facial expressions either. Some NTs go to lengths to make there selves look attractive.

Black nail polish is hot, do you wear black leather as well?

Only marginally. I don't wear make up except on special occasions and I am overweight and have acne. I have been told enough times that I have a pretty face and hair that I guess it must be true.

I have a black leather jacket, does that count?

I am hot. Look at my profile picture. That's my real face.

Interesting, I don't go to great lengths. And I am told I am attractive. I guess no effort means attractive. However, I am man, not woman. Maybe should have waited until I was asked.

Yeah, I don't like the way I look in pictures because I usually blink, and my facial expression is uncomfortable. But otherwise, I don't think I'm too bad looking.

I don't know how attractive I am but I do look almost identical to my allistic (non-autistic) sibling so if I'm ugly, it's not because of the autism.
Also I do tend to spend a lot of time on make-up and hair because it's a creative outlet for me and I feel more comfortable in difficult social situations if I'm wearing good "war paint".

The only aspects of my appearance that I think may be negatively affected by my autism would be
1. limited clothing choices because I can't touch some fabrics and can't wear some kinds of accessories
2. odd posture/facial expressions but after mimicking for so many years I don't have much trouble with that now

Same here. I CAN be attractive, it's just that I find it's too much hassle to make myself look very attractive.

Besides that, I do not feel like a very feminine woman, psychologically speaking, so I always feel very uncomfortable when I make myself look very feminine. It's just phony. I'd like to achieve a look that could communicate to people about my real identity, but I don't know how to do it and I am too lazy for that as well...

When it comes to facial expressions I'm almost too expressive. Since when does Autism and Aspergers make people ugly?

Not really. I guess I'm not that bad but I don't even care any more. I have no interest in attracting anyone or impressing them with my looks.

No-one has complimented my looks ever except my ex girlfriend and one girl recently who said she thinks I'm cute.

I've only had the "you're not ugly" in response whenever I do say it, just because people feel obliged to say it, like when people say "I'm so fat" when they really are, and people reply with "No you're not". They can't ever say I'm pretty or anything though, when I respond with that question "But I'm not good looking or pretty or anything am I?" and they can't say anything.

I would say I'm ugly. I've always been called ugly and no-one has ever said otherwise.

Yes, the jacket does count and I don't think there's any correlation between Autism and appearance but I do lack facial expression as you can see in my display photo, I think that can come across as cold or aloof at times.
